This is a tight fitting campground that was packed in the middle of October. We just closed our shades and fortunately big windows faced nice woods and a shallow ravine.
The campground was not noisy. Amazing considering the number of rigs and people.
The 50amp and full hookup is just what we needed.
Hannibal is a tourist town but we had fun exploring it. Art galleries, vintage shops, and several museums filled our days.
The area is famous for cement too, it helped build the Panama Canal! So no surprise the RV and car were completely coated in a creamy grey film.
The campground has a cave, and is build in a little canyon. It was damp.
Winery, tour buses, cave tour, gift shop all on the property.

Coming into Hannibal, the RV GPS wanted to take us around town up to I-72. Had we been on our toes, we could have turned right at the “campground sign,” making our trip a bit easier and shorter. We came into the campground (CG) and resort area with some other campers. There was plenty of parking, and we checked in at the gift shop where you can purchase cave entry tickets. Our friends had come in the day before and told us that our reserved site E-05 was long enough for our new 40’ 2” Brinkley Model G, but we would need to park our F-450 elsewhere. Our friend suggested F-17, which was an easy back-in. F-17 was available, and was actually cheaper, so we saved $6 on the back-in site. The office folks here were very nice and accommodating, as we had expected to arrive the day prior with our friends, but due to loading up our new rig, we arrived a day late. The nice people at the office helped us work out this situation plus changed our campsite when we arrived. We proceeded to F-17 and settled down for our first camping night in our Brinkley. The F area back-ins are fairly new, with few trees to block the satellite. The older pull-throughs have mature trees and a lot of shade, so satellite would be spotty depending on the site. The water and electric are towards the back of the site, with the sewer in the middle. The water pressure was good. We got one bar on Verizon, and the CG WiFi worked better than average for a CG this size, but we were here for just an overnight from Monday to Tuesday. We were told that this private CG fills up on the weekends.

The park was clean and well laid out with full hookups. I was disappointed that the sandwich shop was closed. When I asked, I was told that it didn't open at all this year. The cost for the cave tour was $24.99 per person so we skipped that and walked the Cave Hollow Trail instead. It is very steep! The provided wi-fi was intermittent. There is a cute shop at the cave entrance with trinkets and souvenirs but not much for snacks. The attendant was happy to give us the names of a couple nearby restaurants that delivered. The park is a few miles from Hannibal proper.

The lady at check in (girl-smile) was very nice. They have a cave tour which we did not do. The D section pull trough is very uneven and hard to level. The F sites cost more but even back in. We had to move to F. Just chilled as arrived late in the afternoon. Had no cell service but park Wi-Fi. That went in and out.

We stayed at this campground 20 years ago with our kids. We were passing through the area again so decided to see if it's still as awesome as I remember -- and it is.
Beautiful shaded and unshaded sites. All 50 amp, full hookups. Easy check-in and friendly staff.

The campground has some lovely huge trees which provide lots of shade. It is within short distance of historic Hannibal the birthplace of Mark Twain with great views of the Mississippi River. Main Street in Hannibal is a bit touristy but worth a visit. We happened to be here on a summer Saturday and found some very nice produce at the farmer's market.

They put us in the new section. However, the sites are suffering from sinking and are not very level and it took many tries with the levelers and moving the rig back and forth before we had something near to level. The owner did come by and told us they know about the problem and have been adding truck loads of gravel to fix it. Several of the new sites were blocked off because of the slope.
Be aware that there is no Verizon nor T-Mobile cell service and while we were there, the campground was experiencing a major issue with the WIFI. It would randomly and frequently disconnect. We drove to Lovers Leap to get online so we could make subsequent reservations for our trip.
Other than the above, the campground is very friendly and I would go again, but I advise that for the short term do not book the new sites. The older one appear nicely level and somewhat shaded.

We enjoyed our stay at Mark Twain Cave campground. The sites were level and large. Lots of grass and open space. Very quiet. No wifi and Verizon was spotty. We really enjoyed the town of Hannibal. The Mark Twain museum complex is great as well as the shops on Main Street. Also some nice walking trails nearby. Lots of birds.
