Sites are roomy & clean. Grounds were very well kept. Indoor pool was small but clean. We did use the showers & laundry, both were very nice. The real winner were the views! There are even small hiking trails on property with even better views. We only stayed 1 night but I wish we had more!

This park is in a beautiful setting surrounded by red sandstone cliffs. Amenities are very complete and well maintained. Wish we had stayed longer. Took the Goulding Monument Valley sunset tour which excellent.

Close to a Small grocery store, gas station and everything involving John Wayne’s cabin, Gouldings museum and Monument Valley. Took a 3.5 hour tour through Monument Valley Safari company.

Stayed for 2 nights to see Monument Valley. Excellent access to the park and fantastic landscape surrounding the park. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Views were amazing. Well lit. Paved pathway with dirt/gravel pads. Electricity was great to help with the warm temps. We backed onto a farm and it would have been nice if they removed the garbage stuck in the fence before we arrived. Lots of barking dogs which was irritating but hey, what can you do. Spots were tight but we had a cabin on one side which wasn't occupied, so a good spot for us. Had to use key cards for the bathrooms which was a pain when it stopped working AFTER the office closed. Luckily saw a security guard who gave us another one which worked. They tell you to keep the card away from electronics which will erase them. We did and it erased anyways, which was a small inconvenience but if we didn't see a security guard it would have been a pain for the night. Women's bathroom door didn't automatically close so you had to be sure to close it behind you. close to the grocery store. Nice showers and laundry facilities. We did a load of wash and the washing machine was $3 per load. On your way in from Mexican Hat you drive past the point where Forrest Gump stopped running, so watch for fools standing in the middle of the highway taking photos. Good stop-over location for a few nights. Wouldn't stay longer though.

This is our second stay here. We stayed for 10 days. The campground is nicely landscaped, well maintained and located in a scenic red rock canyon. Staff is friendly and helpful and checkin was efficient. Interior roads are paved and wide enough for any size rig. Sites are crushed stone with a picnic table and fire pit. Our site #24 was a pull through and plenty large enough for our 40 foot motor home and towed vehicle. We had no trouble getting level and all utilities worked well. Most sites have a small tree for some shade. There is a large fenced dog park. There is no road noise. The on-site laundry is clean with plenty of large commercial machines available, although a bit pricey at $3.00 per load to wash and .50 per 12 minutes of dryer time. A small grocery, convenience store, and fuel station are within a quarter mile of the park. Suggest you shop for groceries and liquor before you arrive since the closest major grocery chain is in Kayenta 25 miles away and no liquor is sold on the Navajo reservation. We had no T-mobile signal. WiFi is good during the day but gets slow and intermittent in the evening. There are plenty of signs on the roadways to guide you to the park. It’s centrally located to many attractions in the area, and 5 minutes from Monument Valley. We really enjoy staying here and highly recommend this park.
Tips: The pizza from the convenience store is very good. Goosenecks State Park, Mexican Hat, Valley of the Gods, Bluff Fort and Moki Dugway are all fantastic sites to visit nearby. You can also access Natural Bridges National Monument or Canyon De Chelly as a day trip.

Loved that there was a short trail on the campground that led to an arch and then to an awesome view of MV. Our dog loved the hike. There were also other close trails outside the campground. Only a couple downsides were the last wash for laundry is at 6pm and the cell service wasn’t great which I needed for work. Other than that, I would stay here again!

This is one of the most unique settings for a campground that you will likely ever see. Nestled amongst the red rock mountains and looking down a canyon into historic Monument Valley, this is a view you won’t see anywhere else. The campground is easy to negotiate and the roads are paved even though the sites are rock. Many of the sites are a bit sloped so bring some leveling blocks but they are easily managed. Full hook ups are available and the Wifi is actually quite good. We also found cell signals to be very strong which was surprising so we were able to utilize our hot spot as well. Being in the desert, it was a pleasant surprise to see trees in the campground and there are many. Spring and fall will be the best times to visit here as winter can be cold and summer blistering hot. Monument Valley is operated and controlled by the Navajo Nation and currently they are only letting 25 cars of tourists in the park every hour due to their nation being hit hard by Covid. It is all first come first served so you do have to go and expect to wait your turn. Most folks indicate that within 15-30 minutes they were allowed in but some have waited up to 2 hours. We went into the park on Sunday, April 3 at 10:20 am and drove right in without any waiting. You will have two hours to tour the loop which is just about perfect. Monument Valley is one of those places that should be on the “must see” list for everyone. It is not easy to get to as it is very remote but good highways do serve the area. If you do come here, seriously consider Goulding’s Campground but it is popular so make a reservation well in advance.

I stay here only one night. There has several nearly hiking trails. I hadn’t chance hike around. I think the bathroom is pretty cleaning and shower too. The laundry is $3 dollars and didn’t wash any clothes. WiFi is ok ok and cellular coverage is not bad in that area (better than valley of the god). Also, the view is really cool. The campground in canyon and you can see far away a butte in middle of canyon.

The views from this campground are beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful. All the facilities are clean and well-maintained. The spaces and drives are tight for big rigs, but the layout is manageable. There is a grocery store close, and it is very close to Monument Valley Tribal Park. Very quiet at night.
