We enjoyed our very quiet and pleasant stay. The bathrooms are nice but not cleaned the whole time we were there, the lake is very pretty with good view, a bit of walking along the entrance road. We camped in a class B.

Traveling from Phoenix to Louisville and used this state park as a stopover. A little off I-40, but worth the drive. I stayed at the Sandy Beach campground (there are several in the park) near the water. There are so many different campgrounds I did need the assistance of a local camper to find Sandy Beach. Nice site, mostly level with good views. Concrete pad surrounded by gravel. Site was clean and utilities worked fine. Stayed on a Thursday night in March, so there was only one other camper in the loop. Extremely quiet. Bathhouse was quite nice. I do appreciate the setup of having the toilet, sink and shower all in one lockable solo room. Showers/toilet/sink were well maintained and in great working order. Did lug a bunch of quarters to the shower, but they weren't needed and it spit my money back out. Spoke for quite a while with the new park ranger, a very personable gentleman who had retired from the service and recently moved to Western OK from Lubbock TX. Overall, a great stopover and would highly recommend the Sandy Beach facility.

Beautiful park. Clean and updated bathrooms. Didn’t see the sign before loading up the quarters for the shower, so you don’t need to pay if you use the showers. Easy access to highway. Stayed 1 night on our drive heading west. Will definitely be back.

We decided to spend a weekend here at the Cutberth Campground.
The site was concrete pad nice and level. Lake views and a small playground behind our site. Water and electric at site. Our campsite didn’t seem to have any sand burrs but we did find them all over the perimeter of the campground.
We would stay here again.

Nice respite from the road trip on 40 West. Stayed at Cedar Point in a pull-through with a nice view of the lake.
Nice shade trees to help keep the sun off. Paved site. Power/water all fine.
Would stay here again.

Our site faced the water, and sure was pretty to look at even though we couldn’t really enjoy it much. The campground was very well-maintained and seemed like it had a lot to offer if only we couldn’t have spent more time outside. The site was a parallel pull through so not a whole lot of privacy between sites, but I guess we knew that coming in.

Foss Lake State Park is one of our favorite places to camp when crossing the country on Interstate 40. Beautiful lake with excellent views, great water quality and good fishing. We like this spot because even when several campers are there it is not crowded, and often very few campers at all in the late fall. Lake front sites are great, a bit of a walk to the showers, but what a view. Lots of places to hike and walk, there is a trail we specifically like that is often used for a halloween trail in the late fall - lots of (kind of) scary beasts displayed in the woods. We have a cat that likes to walk on a leash and the park is perfect for him to enjoy. Be prepared for wind when you camp here - this last fall we were surrounded by severe thunderstorms and some tornadoes but yet safe at the park - all the storms went around us but as usual there was lots of wind. Quiet peaceful and always enjoyable we really love this place.
