We checked out this spot and it is a nice one. We couldn’t stay due to the low clearance of our class c. Trailer / fifth wheels should be fine.

Second time we’ve stayed here. It was really nice both times. We stayed at the first campground to the right. People did pull in the spot a couple times to park for atv rides. It’s a big spot though. I’m here is a huge dip to the right when you come over the first little hill you can miss the worst of it by staying to the left. Saw a f... more

We found this spot to be very nice! We are in a 31 ft class C towing a Spark and found the first part of the road to be rough (deep ruts). We found this spot to be very nice! We are in a 31 ft class C towing a Spark and found the first part of the road to be rough (deep ruts). There were several other vehicles already there but we kept driving and found more open spaces. Lots of room and fairly flat. There was also a fire ring in the spot we pulled into. We can hear I-15 traffic but only faintly.

Perfect place for a quick stop heading west. Rolled in about 8pm and was the only one there, pulled in to the big field right inside the gate. I’m not sure if there’s more spaces further up. Perfect place for a quick stop heading west. Rolled in about 8pm and was the only one there, pulled in to the big field right inside the gate. I’m not sure if there’s more spaces further up. Plenty of room to pull around with no backing up and could stay hooked up too. Fire pit in the middle of the field. Noise from freeway wasn’t bothersome at all. The road leading to the spot was so rarely traveled I even went for a 5 mile run along it the next morning and only one truck passed me. It’s labeled with “Fillmore wildlife management area” and has a pretty broken gate you have to open and close behind you.

Mid June 2023 stay Nobody around stayed in what looked like a group site. Great sunset.
WMA website does not list this as camping site but we gave it a shot.
I emailed public relations to get clarity will update if I get a response.

Flat grassy land, close to the highway surrounded by mountains. It was pretty quiet, we couldn't hear the highway at all and there was no one except us. Lots of cows around who most times leave you alone. We did have trouble getting out as the cows blocked the gate and one of them wanted to get out.

Pulling a 24” trailer. We stayed at the first large dispersed camping space and it was great for a night. Plenty of space to get in and turn around. It’s circular. Pulling a 24” trailer. We stayed at the first large dispersed camping space and it was great for a night. Plenty of space to get in and turn around. It’s circular. Some traffic noise but not terrible. If you go further down the road I’m sure it’s less noise but the road gets more rutted the further you go. The second dispersed spot we walked to and it’s large enough we could have put our rig there and easily got out but it’s a bit rougher.
Definitely make sure to close the gate and secure it. The cows went to it two different times during our one night stay and if we hadn’t locked it they would have gotten out.

This is a wonderful stopover! Yes there is a cattle gate to close when you first come in. Our 35’ diesel pusher with a tow vehicle was about as much as I would want to bring here. There is some highway noise but it’s not awful by any means.
4bars of 5G phone as well with T-Mobile.
I can see two others about 1/2 mile further in but I’m very happy with the spot I have.

We tried to park in the big open area at the entrance but there was another travel trailer there telling us to find another space because it was not acceptable to park next to them even though it was only for the night.
