Opened the gate and had the place to ourselves for the night. Amazing views. You can hear the highway but it’s not bad. Found a level spot to the right shortly after you pull in.

Drove jeep back to other sites and found some nice ones, unfortunately not everyone is cleaning up after themselves. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR TRASH IN FIREPITS!

I’m glad i read the reviews saying to go through the gate. There were no cows but some beautiful views. Highway traffic doesn’t bother me, so no comment there. It was evening and had begun to snow so a good spot, free, and I was tired. It’s WMA land and you need to open and close the gate behind you. Dirt road was decent and I did have to do some leveling. Plenty of area to walk the dog. It is off a frontage road and not far off the freeway so some noise but quieted down in the night. No services here of course but the view was great. The snow continued during the night and it was cold and windy (early April) but it was a spot I would stay in again enroute.

You have to open and close the gate, so cows don’t get out. No cows while we were there. Had the place to ourselves. Hunters come through in the morning …

When we arrived, the gate was closed. There isn't a lock but it's important to close the gate behind you. We pulled into the grassy area immediately to the right after the gate. Note that it's a little choppy when you turn into the grass area. Maybe about 3-4 rigs can fit comfortably without being on top of one another.
The area isn't really level but can be fixed with leveling blocks. The terrain is dirt and (dead) grass. The breeze is great in the evenings and early mornings. Also, since the highway was really close, you can definitely hear the traffic.
We were able to stream Netflix and access Zoom meetings with no issues as Verizon had 5 bars at 5G!

The highway is close but you only hear the tires. Site 1 is the closest flat and mostly level. Site 2 is a few hundred yards in and site 3 and 4 are about a mile up.
Don't worry about the humps.any truck or van can make it. Longer motorhomes be varefull

Loved it here! I was there mid week, no one else around! Camped by the fire ring! Easy to find! Saw one cow but she stayed away! Great view of the mountains! Highway noise is loud but tapers off as night takes over. Had no problems sleeping! Watch the cow paddies!
