If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in your RV, tent or how ever you camp, you have found it. You will find a beautiful, spacious, generally speaking is taken care of, great nature views, rivers, quiet atmosphere, great location and kind employees.
I stayed on my RV.
Space:
You can find great spots even for big rigs. Hard to find a spot on pack days, few 50 amp spaces, but you can change in between days.
Check in:
Easy check in, first come first serve for spots, get here early because it gets packed. The staff were very nice and informative.
Cost:
If you buy the camping pass you can stay in this amazing place for 14 days and enjoy everything about Yosemite and nature.
Downs:
Trash on laundry sometimes takes time to be removed, the soap and napkins on laundry don’t work, people don’t clean after themselves and washer and dryer are not too clean, I had to clean before and after on both.
My site had previous trash on the fire pit but this is mostly the people that don’t clean up after themselves.
Trash:
Big and spacious and on site
Signal:
No cell signal, complementary WiFi on office, available low speed WiFi (5-10mgbs), and of course Starlink or any satellite internet would work.
Close things and amenities:
Beautiful trails around the park, outdoor games, bike trails, lovely river and great weather for me. I love the cold weather. Small bakery as close as 15 minutes. Coffee shops 20-25 minutes. Restaurant 20-25 minutes. There are 2 stores one is the gas station 5 minutes from the park or less, you can go in your bike, and another one in Groveland 25 minutes away which is a huge advantage if you stay longer.
The gas stations so close is the absolute best! specially the gas station.
Yosemite valley 55 minutes.
Support this park so it keeps growing and always clean after yourself.

I am not a TT member and we stayed here to visit Yosemite NP-45 min to Yosemite Village. I have been a full time RVer for 10 years plus a campground volunteer in 3 different states & USFS so I know what is expected. This campground was one of the dirtiest and poorly maintained I have been to. Perhaps if you are in an RV with your own bathroom this would be less of a concern: The litter and trash on the ground was not picked up throughout the 3 days we stayed. Every time I used a bathroom it was consistently very dirty (TP on the floor, dirty sinks & showers, empty soap dispensers even after reporting to the office). At one point one of the toilets was flooding the women’s bathroom and this continued for over 6 hours with no maintenance. The recreation equipment was old, broken or just plain non useable. Because the sites are not assigned people park haphazardly and therefore need to walk through the sites. I paid $105 a night which was way overpriced for the deplorable condition of this campground.

We new to RVing as we have been tent campers for 30 years. Close tight campsites are not our thing so our first experience with TT had VERY tight sites. Now not all the sites are as tight but our friends got us a spot that backed up to the river(beautiful). Areas away from the water were more spacious.
The sites in the area we were in were not well maintained, uneven & overgrown grass. The ladies bathroom near our area was fairly cleaned but my husband complained the men's room was a mess and even after telling the office, it was still a mess 3 days later. Now the more central restrooms closer to the playground were well maintained.
Yosemite Lakes is a great location to be close to Yosemite National Park. We also did some hiking at Carlson Falls & visited Hetch Hetchy Resevoir & Dam, both very beautiful places to visit.
This campground was getting ready to open a lodge where they were going to have activities and entertainment that looked nice & about a 1/2 on the main road TT owns a gas station & convenience store that is helpful to have so close.
There is NO Cell Service & the WiFi is weak unless you are at the office. Many campers had StarLink systems.

The bathrooms were absolutely filthy. There was no hot water for the showers. There were no sewer covers on the unused sewer hookups. The process of choosing your own site was annoying. They couldn’t tell us which sites were still open so we drove down along the river with our 38 ft RV. We decided it was too dark and then drove around to find another spot. I thought I would like choosing but not while towing a 38 ft rv behind.

I have camped at several Thousand Trails resort throughout my life. This was a disappointment to me. The only positives were the FHU and proximity to Yosemite. Get here early if you want a site. The staff doesn't make sure people park within their own site and saving sites for their friends. Sites were suppose to be up to 6 people, but we counted 13 in a single site. They had a trailer, 4 tents, and 2 screen tents. Not one employee did anything. They would drive by, but for what? I never saw any rules being followed. We saw a prime spot by the river, only to have a car parked in it. Quiet time is completely ignored. Kids and their parents screaming at each other each night until 1AM and babies crying well into the night. The bathrooms were disgusting. We saw used female pads in the showers, days old Skittles on the floor, and filth and dirt. The showers at the end of the park were push button. You can to keep pushing to keep the water running about every 2 seconds. The spray hurt! I had to hold my arms across my body to keep the spray from stinging my skin. Yikes! My daughter and I typically use the campground showers for more space. The play area was in need of some major renovations. We love mini golf and were excited to play, but couldn't because it was dire need of reconstruction. My son went to play basketball, but some other campers used it to gather their family to eat dinner. They pulled in picnic tables, grills, etc and continued to have their own "party" pad under the net.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPGROUND FOR DIGITAL NOMADS!! Please steer clear if you need to work remotely from this campground. Absolutely no cell service and they should not even offer the WiFi they have in place. They claim it as “high speed” internet but I couldn’t even keep a connection.
I’d love to come back to this campground but, there’s no way I could spend more than a weekend without some ability to stay connected. Being a solo traveler introvert doesn’t help me much haha!
You’ll enjoy the stay at this beautiful park if your cool with being disconnect and love noisy kids.
