Really nothing at the campground to do other than park, hookup, and be greeted by some very gracious hosts. 15-20 minutes to travel to/from San Antonio. Right next to the trails that could take you all the way downtown via bike/hike (about 10 miles). This is a tiny campground with 5 (I think) sites; all full hookup. Secure, as there is a locked gate to enter/exit the campground, for which you are issued a key. There is some road noise from the highway, but not intolerable. Would stay here again when visiting San Antonio.

Small family-run RV park. Full hookups. Nice owners are on site and greet you upon arrival. The entrance driveway is gated and locked (they give you a key). The mission trail is nearly within walking distance from the RV park and one of the missions is the same. Downtown SA (Riverwalk) is maybe a 20-minute drive with light traffic.

We had a great stay off the beaten path of San Antonio but well within the various attractions of the city. Highly recommend.

Walking/biking distance from the southern end of the historic San Antonio River Walk, Yanawana Camp is a dream come true. An intimate, birders paradise, owners Gabby and Clemente welcomed us with helpful brochures and a quick overview of the area. This is a perfect location from which to delve into the history of the UNESCO World Heritage site composed of five Missions (including The Alamo) and the incomparable cultural richness of San Antonio. Take a selfie with a Cardinal and make sure you drive through the King William District on your way to the downtown end of the Riverwalk. We will definitely come back!

Small, very secure, clean, close enough to the road to make it easy, but far enough away to have a peaceful night. We'll definitely use Yanawana again

The only downside is that I wish the immediate area was a little more walkable, but it's only a quick drive to get to the Riverwalk Trailhead. I don't remember how many bars we had, but we definitely had good service through AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.

We were lucky enough to visit the Tipi erected on the property, and enjoy a campfire with the other guests. This is a great spot to use as a base to visit San Antonio, it’s convenient to the missions and not far from downtown. I’d love to stay again. Hook ups are clean and in good condition, everything is spotless. Be sure to follow the instructions on entering, it’s unmarked for privacy.

You are essentially staying in someone’s backyard where they have put in 5 RV spots. It’s fairly quiet and private but visually underwhelming, like not a place you need to sit outside and stare at the scenery all day-but chances are that’s not why you are in the area anyways.
Gabby and Clemente were great and friendly, texting us ahead of time, welcoming us when we pulled in the gate, assisting with parking and providing information on area attractions.
We would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting San Antonio.

Stayed at this small delightful campground for 2 nights. Located southeast of San Antonio, near Mission Park and 11 miles from the Alamo, the location provides close access to several major highways. Campground offers 5 rv spots all with full hook ups. Several tent spots also available. Trees surround the camp and 2 RV spots provide some shade. Several picnic tables. Trash and recycling services available. We had to go under the trailer for hook ups at our spot - Rough Green Snake - but it was not a problem. Camp is secure with a locked gate at the entrance. Wifi available. Cell service was good. No shower or laundry facilities. Owners are very nice.
