Situated at the confluence of two rivers in a forested area makes this a very peaceful location. I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #4, a dry, BI site for $8/night. Roads and sites are asphalt. Road is narrow so choose your site carefully to ensure you can back into it. I was very happy to have someone spotting me as I backed into #4 as it was a pretty tight situation with trees and some poles as obstacles. #13 is the most highly sought after spot as it is right on the point where the rivers meet. #12, 14 and 10 are the next in line. All the sites are quite spacious. The campground actually has two sides as one river flows right through the middle. There is some road noise and an occasional train across the river, but the setting is so peaceful you don’t mind. There are several unthreaded water spigots for filling jugs, not your tank so come prepared. There are several older, vault toilets scattered around and are cleaned daily. It is easy to walk to the river and the fishing can be quite good. No cell signal, wifi or OTA channels. If you drive 15 minutes into Troy or 30 minutes to Libby you can connect. The camp hosts are friends of mine and are some of the best people I know. Truly a lovely spot to disconnect and relax. I was sorry to leave.

The Kootenai and Yaak Rivers came together at the park and produced some beautiful rapids.
The one negative I would have is the noice of the trains and highway. However at night the notices were virtually non existent.
We would return again!

Very nice campground. Quiet. Train was across the river and only a low rumble...never heard the horn. Great access to both the creek and the Kootenai River. Sites were well treed and we found a pull thru.

The river runs along the campground. If you want to fish or float, it's right there.
Campground is dark. Not enough sunlight to charge solar panels. Water is available at the front of the campground but no dump.
Located right on the highway, made for easy access.
Would stay here again for a night passing through.
