“Clean And Convenient ”

Area was clean. Non-potable water hose in good shape that actually had a screw on connection. So many times that’s missing. Had a small garbage can for everyone’s disposable gloves. Potable water spigot was separate from the dump so no one can mix the two up!

“Convenient RV Dump”

Right off our highway, easy to find, huge parking lot so easily accessible for big rigs and $10 “highly suggested and requested” donation. Potable water too. This was perfect after four nights of dry camping.

A guy was there collecting the donations while we dumped. He said water in Laramie is really expensive and it costs the museum 32k per year just for water for the dump station. The city has a budget shortfall due to covid, so donations are important.

We stopped here to dump and refill between boondocking. The parking lot is huge. No problem for big rigs. They have potable water which is huge for not having to go to a campground. All they lack is a dumpster.

If you've driven by, you've likely seen that they have RV hookups here in addition to the dump station. There is no information about them on their website or on the state parks site, so I called to ask, and was informed they are for summer workcampers only - there is no overnight parking for anyone else. We were there in July of 2018 and the RV spots were empty... maybe someone associated with Harvest Hosts should reach out and see if they're willing to consider opening these up for overnight stays!
