“Overnight at a climbing Mecca!”

Nice place to stay overnight. Definitely not for bigger rigs. We were in a truck camper. There is a sign when you begin pulling in warning of 24’ max vehicle length. Basically are parking in a dirt parking lot. Nice tent pads and scattered below the parking lot. There were quite a few people last night, mostly tents, however it was quiet and respectful. If your rig is small enough to get in here it’s great. Minutes from Mt Rushmore and not far from Crazy Horse. The climbing looks great!

“Small rigs only, but close to Rushmore”

This place really is not a campground. It is available for overnight stays although I would recommend it only if no other place can be found. It is a trailhead an climbing area and is very close to Mt Rushmore so it gets a lot of traffic. It is also very small, with only a dozen or so normal sized car parking spaces (on gravel). Best used for car/van camping or maybe a small Class-C, but that is about it. Even a small trailer (Casita or similar) would be out of place here.
