Overall Rating

I stumbled upon this almost by accident while exploring the county parks in the area. This is NOT a campground, just a designated spot where you can park for the night. It's a really cute city park with playgrounds (about 4), a pavilion, bathrooms, trash, a dog run, a trail around the perimeter, cornfields to the west, and a train track and cemetery to the east. There weren't any trains the night I was there. I called Barb at city hall so she could let the police know to expect me. It's free and there is a dump station (also free) just over a mile away at McNabb Park (see Campendium listing for exact location - there are no signs). Hopefully, the Jailhouse MTB trail will make the trip worth it. AT&T speeds were 10 DL & UL. T-Mobile 5G was blazing 90 DL & 10 UL.
