Overall Rating
This is a gorgeous place to stay. It is in the Shoshone National Forest and is a free campground that they ask for donations. There is a donation box at the sign post. Only 5 camp sites and they are small so I would not go in here with anything over 25’. Longer rigs can fit in the Brown Mountain Campground further up the road but I don’t think even big rigs could fit there. However, there is a huge dispersed camping area right in front of the Brown Mountain Campground area.
This is right on the Wood River and the Wood River Canyon is very narrow at this spot. Great fishing in the river that is right at the campground. DO be careful, this is bear country!!
Has picnic tables and fire pits and a nice vault toilet. Access via the Wood River Road is good but will want to drive slowly.
