Wolf Ford Horse Camp

As of 3/30/18, the road coming from the wes was closed.

So we haven't been here for years, but we were pointed here by a ranger--down a dirt road through the forest that was rather long (but another guy with a camper and a horse trailer made it).

Nothing much in the way of facilities except a ton of quiet forest, some nearby hiking trails and all the peace and quiet you can stuff into a big empty forest. :)

We had the place to ourselves the majority of the time, but even when the fellow came in with his horses it was in no way crowded. And like I said, the ranger told us about it, and clearly knew we didn't have horses of our own. :)

A fire pit and table were provided. No cell service back then. A lovely drive either way you go when you come out of here, back down to the official campground / Brevard or up the mountain to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
