This was a last resort when looking for camping and it turned out pretty good. There is tons of space and sites and you are all spread out. It was VERY windy the night we were there which wasn’t awesome but it had a great view and it was an easy spot.

This spot ended up being the last resort after all the other BLM spots in the Moab area I chose fell through due to being exposed to high winds. The main road is quite bumpy and rocky all the way through. It ended up being very crowded in the beginning with RV's, 4x4 rigs, and small SUVs. Portable toilets are accessible as soon as you drive in. If you drive more down the main road there are quite a few spots that are tucked away for more privacy which is what I opted for. I highly recommend getting here early to grab the spot you want as it gets ridiculously busy in the spring. Be mindful of your vehicle's capabilities especially when rainstorms are passing through. Some spots can get quite muddy. I saw small traces of trash in the area I chose to camp overnight. Please remember to practice Leave No Trace Principles so others can enjoy this dispersed camping spot in the future.

We slept here 4 nights and were very sad to leave. We will be staying here again if we come back to Moab.

This is a busy place with little privacy and lots of OHVs. But, it's easily accessible, free, the views are nice, and there are porta potties regularly spaced along the road (surprisingly clean and well stocked). This was a great place to crash for a night. I had good cell service here (AT&T).

If you are looking for a place to hike or offroad, then this is the place for you! Even though it was a little far from town and its conveniences, like shopping and laundry, there is plenty to do at Willow Springs. We found a great spot for our large setup. It was close to the main road, but the noise was doable. The nights were quiet. Lots of trails close, plus Arches was right down the street. A little warm (May 2021), but the nights cooled off nicely. The only drawback was the grocery shopping and the laundry as there was construction at the time we were there, and you had to make sure you were in town early enough before the main drag was backed up. For water, dump, and garbage we went to the Farm and Feed across the street from Maverick. Maverick was too busy, so we did not mind paying $5 to take care of our business. I recommend Willow Springs if you want to be away from town and close to fun trails to seek!

I’m not really sure why this place is so popular. We pulled in and it was not only packed but the roads aren’t great and hardly any level sites. Seems like a good place for those going off roading with ATVs though. We left and found much quieter and better places to boondock just a couple miles down the road.

The last 1/4 mile of the road (if you go straight past the "dinosaur tracks" sign) is really rough - don't attempt without a high clearance vehicle and trailer, there are lots of cars trying to do it and you can hear them scraping the hell out of the bottoms of their vehicles. If you go right at the Dinosaur tracks, it's also pretty rough, but slightly more doable.
The most crowded dispersed camping area I've been to, but really close to Arches and Canyonlands. There's been a guy who sells firewood at the entrance which is convenient if you don't feel like going out to fetch it yourself. Large amounts of hidden trash - people seem to be putting entire trash bags behind rocks as if that solves the problem of getting rid of it, please don't do this, it ruins areas like this and just places burdens on good samaritans to take care of it. An abnormal amount of dogs off leash here, wandering really far from their owners, random dogs have been in my campsite on numerous occasions - one clueless owner didn't notice as their dog ventured all the way up a rock hill on its own and proceeded to get stuck.
Definitely a bit of a party scene for some, but folks have mostly quieted down when it starts getting dark. Lots of SXS' and 4x4's romping around, but honestly isn't that most of Moab? Good amount of dust near the main drag area, as others have noted, just try to get farther away from the main road to avoid it.
Decent cell in the farther in areas near the rocks without booster: VZ 3-5mbps down, TMobile/Sprint ~10mbps down. Not sure about other spots.

We towed our 34' TT all the way in to the Dinosaur sign and made a right. I don't recommend going further with large vehicles as the road is very rough. At that right turn there were spots available and the road continues up and follows along the rocks for lots of more sites. A portable toilet was available nearby.
There are many sites available In Willow Springs with some very large areas for many RV's.
We were glad we arrived in the early afternoon on a Thursday to select a site. Then we just watched the show as people arrived until dark. The weekend was very busy but it got quiet on Sunday and stayed that way until we left on Wednesday.
There are lots of OHV so be prepared for that. Recommend finding a site away from the main road to avoid some dust if it gets windy.
Very close to Arches, Canyonlands, and don't miss Dead Horse Point State Park.

Finding the turn to get off of the highway was very easy and well marked. The road leading out to the pre-marked camp sights was a little rough but absolutely do-able with any type of rig, just take it slow. There are several sights on big rocks right near the entrance, suitable for vans or smaller class B's. There are several other sights as you keep going along the main road for bigger RV's. If you want to get back by the mountains, it is VERY rutted with deep holes. We would NOT take our 38 ft trailer that far but several other people did and made it back there. Some areas are sandier than others. It is a very popular spot for people with off road toys so expect a significant amount of dust. We found a great spot for our 38ft bumper-pull and had a wonderful 2 weeks visiting and exploring everything Moab had to offer. Check out our time visiting the beautiful Canyonlands National Park and get a view of our camp sight here at Willow Springs.

NOTES: 15-ish minutes to Arches National Park, 25/30 minutes to Canyonlands National Park, The Maverik Gas Station on the far end of town has a free dump station and potable water. There is also another RV/Pet Supply store in town with a dump and potable water for a small fee.
