We stayed in site 9 which is a pull through and can fit any length rig. Can use solar panels. Water is within 20 feet. The spigots throughout the camp have no threads so you would have to transport the water via cans. We came in with a full fresh water tank. Lots of space between sites and we only had a few campers in campground.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon just as the perfect pull through was being vacated, site 5. Two pull throughs and 18 back in sites. Big rig friendly both in height and length for nearly all the sites. You will find much more privacy here then at the nearby state park. We could hear some hiway noise and an occasional train in the distance.
Short trail to the river and then about a 2.3 mile flat trail walk to the nearby state park, even though the trail sign says 1.3 miles.
There were lots of mosquitoes, bring the insect repellent!

Over a mile of bad washboard to reach this dry dusty campground. Once there it was quiet and mostly empty. The good was the price and the quiet. You can get to the river and ride bikes up to Collier. Wouldn't bother again due do the terrible road.

We were staying at Scott Creek campground for a few days and checked out a few other sites while in the area. Williamson River Campground looked like it would be a great place to stay. 2 pull through sites (handicap accessible) and the rest were back in. I would say about 15 sites all together. There is a host on site. Only one person was camping when we drove through. Looked like it would get better sun for the solar panels than Scott Creek was getting, which is why we considered moving to here. The road leading to the campground is pretty short, but very washboardy and bumpy. We didn’t see any issues fitting out 36’ 5th wheel into the sites.

Stayed as a base camp to the Crater Lake NP.
The camp site is far from the road so was very quiet.
State camp ground dump station(free, donation is required) was right at the entrance to the camp site.
The sites are well placed and good space between.
Didn't use bathroom but the water seemed clean.
Host was very nice.

Nice quiet campground about 30 min from Crater Lake. 1 pull through spot but not a lot of shade, most of the sites will accept larger units. We stayed in site 20, very well shaded. We are in a 44’ coach and pull a Ford F-150 and had no problem. I would definitely unhook the toad the next time before driving down the gravel road!!!!! It is rough and DUSTY! Other than the drive down the gravel road the campground is great! Chris the camp host said he has only been full twice since he opened. If you need to dump you can do it right before starting down the gravel road at Collier park the dump station and water are just as you pull in. We dumped on the way out. Sites are pretty level with fire pits and picnic tables. Pit toilets and drinking water available.

We stayed a week, next door, at Collier Memorial State Park which was amazing but Collier was booked solid for the Memorial Day Weekend so Plan B.
We woke early Friday morning and quickly packed up and headed over to Williamson River Campground expecting it to fill up quickly. To our surprise there were only 2 sites taken and about 4 more campers arrived on Saturday during the holiday weekend. We pretty much had the campground to ourselves and loved it.
Both parks are connected with a series of trails so you still have access to the stream and the logging museum; its just about 1.25 miles further when you're at Williamson River. (See our review for Collier State Park on Campendium as well).
Although strictly dry camping the campground does offer pit toilets, water spigots and trash containers. We saw the park ranger come through at least twice checking the garbage cans and cleaning the toilets.
The camp host was a very friendly gentlemen and we really enjoyed visiting with him.
As others have commented, the road in was a bit dusty and wash-boarded but don't let that deter you. Take your time getting down the road and you'll be richly rewarded with a beautiful and secluded US Forest Service campground for only ten bucks a night. If it weren't for the road this would be a 5 star review.
Just like the State Park next door, cell service was a little slow but we were able to use our WeBoost booster to work and stream without any issues.
Next time we visit the area Williamson River Campground will be our Plan A.

This campground was our Plan B for this trip, a five-day boondocker we have been planning for awhile. Our first choice was smoked out (wildfire just to the west) and very buggy, so we came here. A little smoky, bugs were not bad, and plenty of spaces even arriving on a Friday afternoon. Good spacing between sites, although there were sightlines, and large and fairly level pull ins. There was one pull through that we saw. The road in was dusty and washboarded, but nothing that a slow pace could not deal with. Vault toilets were clean, water was good, and the chipmunks are bold! Put away your food, or it will be gone! Great base from which to explore the Williamson River, Crater Lake, and the headwaters of the Wood River.
