“The office was closed most of the time. Had to chase the staff down to pay for my campsite.”

Like the previous review SAD, SAD, SAD!
Definitely not worth the full price. Passport America was the only reason I stayed.
Could be a nice park if they would do the maintenance. Half the sites are not operational.

“Sad, Sad, Sad - But the Best Deal in Town”

It's sort of like camping at a ghost-campground that was once a large and beautiful park.
Of the 100's of sites, only a few are still operational. The meadow looks like a large graveyard with abandoned meter boxes as headstones. All the buildings are in disrepair, the office is frightening. The pools are empty except for green rain water and lawn furniture. Covered, group gathering structure looks like a place where dozens of campers once had a wonderful time. Now, it's just sad.
The maintenance staff do a nice job of keeping the "remaining" grounds neat and trimmed. It's not dirty nor is there any trash around. The bathrooms looked clean. There is a a laundryroom as well, but I didn't look inside. Dora is delightful and was very helpful at check-in. You're likely going to have to call when you arrive and someone will come check you in.
Our site was level gravel/dirt with 50 amp FHU and a decent size space. It would be tight if the row were full. The water pressure was sad. Most sites are open sky for satellite reception. The park WiFi worked most of the time.
The location is great for visiting Williamsburg. It is quiet and dark at night, and we felt completely safe here. There is a small playground and plenty of room for doggies to run around away from campers. It looks like there are smaller spaces back in the trees, but I don't know that they're still open.
This place should be filled with families enjoying the history of the town, instead its been allowed to fall apart and die.
Passport America is reasonable, but there's no way I'd pay full price!
