Lucky to not have anyone next to us. Came for the lunar eclipse and it did not disappoint. Water and electric hookups. Great trails with hills in the mountains elevation 4100 so no surprise. Clean bathrooms and showers. Playground for the kids and cabins for the non rv or tent crowd. Bluebirds and woodpeckers abound.

We're from Austin TX and have been doing some traveling camping across the western US. This was a nice campground.

Perfect! I think we were the only ones besides the host on loop 2, but it was mid week and mid March. The bathrooms are clean, showers are fine, and we saw a lot of wildlife. My only minor complaint is that the hose bibs seem a bit scarce (closest were at 42 or 47), but the water is sweet and its good to walk a bit. Its nice to be so close to so many hiking trails, beautiful walks, and Julian. At night it was perfectly quiet for us, very peaceful.

This is one of my favorite local campgrounds. It's very well maintained. There are tons of trees and nice hiking trails.
Very close to Julian if you want to go in town for a little day trip.
A speedtest on T-Mobile resulted in 12 down and 9 up.

It was pretty hot during our visit, but the shade from the trees and breeze cooled us off. The hiking trails were great with options for short and longer hikes. The campground is close to Julian, CA—a small town where there are plenty of options for food, shopping, and local entertainment.
Great for tech-free environment. No wifi provided.
Dump station on premises.

The campground was very clean and quiet. We were supposed to see stay three nights but left after the first because our site did not have enough voltage to run our air conditioner, the outdoor temperature reached 98 degrees. Our PD30 showed voltage readings below 100V. High temperatures + bad power = vacation get-away cut short.

The spaces are pretty big here, I'd be okay with most of them. #40 is their only pull through, and since we just bought our trailer, I wasn't confident in my backup skills. We took a short drive into Julian, got groceries and two pieces of pie at Mom's. Under better weather, it could be a crowded campground, but it was only about 5% occupied...and we loved it.
Bathrooms were clean. Dump station available. seemed very safe, although, we never saw a ranger. Good cell phone coverage as well.

Some of the sites in the 1-20 loop are *very* close together, do your research if you want more privacy.
