The only thing is: It is located right next to the Interstate, so you will hear the droning traffic 24/7. Most KOA's are very convenient to busy highways, so we don't usually stay at them. ( because of this very reason)

This is our 3rd stay at the Willcox KOA. We like to stop on our way to and from Tucson to visit the wineries. This KOA is always clean, the staff are friendly, and the wifi is good. The little cafe is a plus. The only downside is the highway noise, but when the convenience is worth it.

This was our 2nd stay at this campground: I wasn’t writing reviews during our first stay in the winter of 2020. Both times we stayed in one of the pull-through sites at the back of the campground. All of the sites and roads within the campground are gravel. Each site has a line of stones that mark the left and right edges of the site. The regular sites have a picnic table; the deluxe sites have a concrete patio with a swinging chair, a table and chairs with an umbrella, and a grill. Our site was level and had the hookups reasonably positioned, with the power pole more towards the back. Some sites have trees while others do not.
The campground is right off of I-10, so there is road noise that is audible inside of the RV. That’s also why the fenced in dog-park on the western end of the campground contains a highway billboard, which helps to light the dog park at night. The dog park is a decent size, but it also has a small stone gravel surface, so if your dog isn’t a fan of gravel you may want to walk them in the open space behind the campground. During our first visit, that space was just a dirt field with some desert grasses, but since then they’ve created a walking path that stretches between the dog park and a public seating area with a fire ring and rocking chairs meant to be used to watch sunsets.
In addition to the usual amenities, they have a restaurant on site - the Roadrunner Kafe - that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During our first visit we had dinner sitting at a table in the restaurant, watching football on their TV. This time we called in an order and they delivered it to our RV for no extra charge. Their specialty dessert is their pecan cinnamon roll. The restaurant has some nice outdoor seating (which I don’t think was there in 2020) with heat lamps and a communal fireplace.
During our first visit (when we stayed for a week), I struggled to get a good enough cell signal to work remotely on both my Verizon hotspot with MIMO antenna and my AT&T smartphone. It was somewhat better this time around: the best speed I got on Verizon during the late afternoon on a Saturday was 6.8 Mbps down and 20 up. Streaming was doable, but I ended up hooking up to the cable connection on the power pole, which provides 48 channels. At 7am the next morning, I saw 23 down and 7 up. My AT&T smartphone, using 5G during this visit, got 133 Mbps down and 10.7 up.
On the flip side, the campground WiFi was excellent during both visits. During this visit I saw speeds of 102 Mbps down and 54 up.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

fter a visually stimulating 280 mile drive, we have arrived at our home for the evening. Unfortunately for our boys, it’s another all gravel location however other than that, it is a solid 9/10 (-1 for the gravel). And I’ll get right to it: this is the home of the Herculean Hamsters! Never have I seen 50 Mb down at any hotel, let alone RV park - until today. There is smoke coming out of my computer, my mouse jumped into Max’s water bowl and I’m missing the fingerprint on one of my thumbs. 🔥🔥
The majority of sites are FH pull through with two sewer hookups, cable (these folks even have terminators on the coax to keep db loss to a minimum at the empty slips.) 45+ channels including TCM and did I mention SMOKIN’ internet? AT&T is two bars but who cares with 🔥🔥? The facilities are well kept and very clean and water pressure in the showers is strong. (After seeing the park showers we decided to splurge with unlimited water in a much larger space than our onboard setup.)
The staff is friendly and available, check-in was quick and easy and there is an on-site cafe serving all day, with chicken fried steak available all day (as well as Bluebell ice cream). Definitely a be-back place for us!
Loved the changing desert views, changing from sand and scrub to rocks and cactus, all the while with mountains and mile-long trains in the background. Diane took lots of pix which she will post. Also loved the THIRTY degree drop in temperature from last night to now; it’s a comfy 82 inside and outside and our A/C will not be running tonight.
NOTE: It is next to I-10 and depending on the slip you get it can be noisy.
We were in a 28' Class C towing a VW Beetle
Edit #1: The food at the “KOA Kafe” was delicious, especially the jalapeño corn and the Hatch Mac n Cheese!

The wifi is the best we have ever had in an RV park, the cafe was great, and the store well-stocked. We did not use the pool or hot tub. The park is convenient to the many wineries and Chiricahua National Monument (not to be missed). We also did a day trip to historic Bisbee - about 1.5 hours away. The only downside is the traffic noise, but it didn't bother us and they do offer free ear plugs.

The hosts are nice and love to talk. The entire campground is stone not sure how this Koa was awarded as a holiday as it is more a journey to me.
I recommend you NOT purchase food for dinner like we did! Too expensive for everything they have which isn’t that many options

Mountain View’s from all sides and good size spaces along with the fastest WiFi we have had yet! Yes you are by the highway, however we barely noticed it after a night or two. Also being by the highway allowed us to explore Tombstone, Corodano National Forest and the MANY wineries of Willcox. Great for a stop over as many people did but high suggest staying a few days and checking out the area!

We originally had another camground booked in Wilcox as I didn't find this one listed online, but as we drove into town I saw signs so I checked it out online and quickly changed our reservation. This campground purchased by KOA about 18 months ago, and Joe one of the Franchise owners was a previous contractor and has done a great done sprucing up the place. We had about the best camping experience one could possibly have at a KOA. The hook up connections included 30 & 50 amp, and were easily accessed, there were two sewer dumps at each site to suite your RV needs, and the water pressure was plentiful. And the park is blanketed in high speed WiFi, backed up by fiber optic to their ISP. They had a heated pool, and nice hot tub (which was wonderful after hiking the Chiricahau National Monument), immaculate laundry room, and nicely stocked store. In the morning you can have a nice breakfast cooked for you at the RoadRunner Cafe. While we were enjoying our breakfast the Owner Joe sat down with a map of the area and made some recommendations for us to do some hiking at places we would never have known about not being local.
The only downside of this park was some road noise from being close to the i10.
