“Our first RV park”

Overall Rating

This was our first stay at an RV park, we usually stay in state parks or National Forest campgrounds. We were meeting friends here to tour the Willamette wine country. The park is very close to many wineries. We stayed at site 170 which did have a tree to provide some shade. From my limited knowledge of RV parks, this seems to be a typical park. The sites are close together with no privacy. But on the plus side, you get a level concrete parking area with full hookups. There is also a swimming pool that we did not use. We didn't have any problems when staying here. The electricity and water worked and we had a picnic table under our tree. One evening we did smell trash from the nearby dumpster.

There are several restored vintage trailers that can be rented. Our friend, who does not have an RV, rented a 1951 M-System Special Deluxe trailer. It was beautifully restored and a treat to see.

The park is located very close to downtown Dayton. There is a gravel road that leads to a walking bridge over the Yamhill River that provides access to the town. The park is just a few miles from the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum where the Spruce Goose is kept. There is also an indoor water park at the museum.

We had a good cell signal when using our Straight Talk (Verizon) hotspot with external antenna and amplifier. We also had a good signal when using our AT&T phones.
