Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail Backcountry Camping

Camping in the Honolulu Watershed Forest Reserve (Wailupe section) is allowed with a permit along the Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail. Campsites are not designated, camp within 10 feet of the center of the trail. Please note, the Wiliwilinui Community Association allow hikers and hunters to access the State Forest Reserve through their property. Please abide by all rules and regulations of the association. Camping in Hawaii's Forest Reserves is usually in remote, mountainous locations providing a wilderness experience. Campsites are accessed by hiking and have few or no amenities.
