“Small, quiet campground with views of lake”

We loved this little campground. It’s about 45 minutes east of Ashland and 20 degrees cooler. During this drought the lake is very low which is probably keeping many campers away. The cg is on a peninsula so all sites have some view of the lake. Mixed sun and shade. Only a couple of sites can handle really big rigs. We are towing a 24’ trailer and just fit with room for our truck in site #7. Right now it’s reservations only, but host says it’s returning to “normal “ on 6/30/21. That means you can find sites without reserving, but if they continue to allow reservations you could pick an open spot and then be forced to move a day or so later when someone with a reservation shows up. Host unhappy about that.

Manual pump for good spring water, very clean long drop toilets, trash service, dump in the main Hyatt Lake cg a couple of miles away. Good access to hiking the PCT right from camp. Saw bald eagles and pelicans over the lake.

Overall it’s a great, quiet spot. It would be even better if there were water in the lake but then it would probably be more crowded.

If I came again I’d book site #2.
