We met up with some friends and stayed here for a few days. It's easy to find a spot as it's big and can handle a lot of campers while still feeling uncrowded. The dirt roads that take you to the individual sites are rough, however a slow and steady pull will get you to your site without any trouble.

It was high clearance situation, some 4wd paths, main path from where the rest branch was atrocioys too, I could not get dar, and if it rains, good luck. Basically taking chances abusing the motorhome. Also, area was very crowded with people, most sites taken mid day on Sunday. I just camped not too far from there for days without seeing a soul, this place is iverrun. After I made it to one of the spots, with great difficulty, I found it was covered with toilet paper. Plus someone could potentially setup nearby Decided the area isn't worth it, drive away and found a spot nearby with easy access and no people in sight.

On state owned land. Designated sites with no fee or services. It was windy when we arrived and the dirt is a fine dust making it a dust storm and not very pleasant. The wind calmed by sunset and it was quite lovely then. After leaving the main road it was a little rough but very doable with our 25' TT. No AT&T or T-Mobile service.

This was the first boondocking we have done; although we have done lots of dry camping it was always at a campground or Harvest Host. We were here on a Saturday night at the end of October with our 25' Navion motorhome. We drove two miles down a paved road and started to see campers against the cliffs just before 2 miles. We saw a camper ahead but empty spaces near them so turned down the dirt road. The road is heavily rutted and we had to go extremely slow, but saw a spot fairly close to the left. I wouldn’t attempt this after a lot of rain! It wasn’t particularly level and auto levelers brought us way off the ground, so used our leveling blocks instead. Almost hate to say, but what a great spot!!! We walked out to the field and watched a beautiful sunset. In the morning we drank coffee outside and watched the sunrise. There were a few other RVs and a tent camper in the area. There is no cell service here, and the only amenity is a fire ring. It is very close to Goblin Valley State Park, which is definitely worth a visit.

Our family of six arrived here around 10 PM on a Wednesday night in October during the kids’ fall break. We found a really great spot that has a secret little canyon where our oldest son put up his tent. We have a Toyota sienna minivan front wheel drive and we made it with no problems. We loved our spot but there were many spots that looked just as great and it seemed like plenty were available even over the weekend. We had neighbors once in a while but they were not close, definitely not as close as in a campground. Considering goblin Valley State Park charges $45 a night for camping this place was so much better than that and free! We did go to goblin Valley to buy firewood and fill up water containers, the firewood was $10 a bundle for a pretty big bundle. The last day we were there wind it was in the forecast and boy was it windy! The wind ruined our tent and got dust on everything we own, so I wouldn’t recommend tent camping if it’s supposed to be windy.

Remember your daily admission ($20) to the Goblin Valley State Park is good for actually two days so this is a great spot to barely leave the park and go back in the next day to hike a bit more with those Goblins
