Very accessible with nice views. The only reason that I gave three stars instead of 4 1/2 is because when we got there, foundfound this spot a little bit trashy. My guess is this spot is popular with camping community.

A few spots tucked away to find and a few spots along the main gravel road as well.
Be careful during rain season, it floods so easily.

Beautiful area, but definitely not open for camping in winter. Roads are not plowed unfortunately.

Graded dirt road through sage meadows. Pull outs with rock fire rings. Beautiful views of the Sierras to the west. Would give it 5 stars but we tend to prefer treed sites and previous guests were not entirely sanitary.

Stayed here for a night on the way to the Alabama Hills. Quiet, fairly level (2 degrees), nice views. This particular spot was pretty easy to get a 25’ Class C into, some rocky spots on the road but manageable. Road in is average washboard.

After spending a few days at Lake Mary it was time to ditch the crowds and get some privacy and we found it off Whitmore Tubs Rd. There are lots of little spur roads and plenty of sites for dispersed camping here so by chance we turned left off Whitmore Tubs, climbed a short easy rise and came across this site. It's pretty level site with a fire pit that could be used outside of fire season (but you'll need a fire permit), good cell coverage and even better views! Our nearest neighbor was at least 1/3mi away and it was very quiet except for the constant breeze than finally died after sunset. We have a truck camper mounted on a 4x4 so getting to the site was no problem. A tow vehicle with a small trailer could probably pull it off and back in but be careful as there aren't really any easy turn around areas.
