Hubby needed a place to stay while I was on the Rogue River for a few days due to the heat wave and needing to plug in for AC. We could shortcut to Merlin, where the outfitter is. My trip got delayed two days due to the Rum Creek fire, so we went back and forth a few times. The hosts are friendly and Chris is constantly moving around sprinklers, but they don't seem to keep the bathroom very clean. I don't get having wide open doors with lights on 24/7, as it brings in bugs. Yuck. Not much water pressure in the showers, but the water was hot. The water seemed fine and the 20 amp kept our AC going. We were able to level in #2, but it's a bit narrow. It had good shade. It's fairly convenient to town, which was nice. T-mobile was 30 down/1.6 up on a Sunday night with three other rigs in the park. David had "okay" service on Verizon. There's the big 3 and PBS OTA. The river/boat access is an advantage, but it's removed from the camping area. There's a nice playground below the camping area. The nature trail needs mowing-the blackberries have taken over and it's impossible to walk.

Stayed here one night, after rafting the wild and scenic rogue river
It’s close to Grants Pass
Small sites, a ways from the river

We stayed here on a Tuesday night early April and had the RV area to ourselves. The camp hosts were wonderful—they technically were off duty & were busy mowing & cleaning up debris, prepping for the coming season, but Dawn went out of her way to welcome us. The facilities are old & could use some TLC/maintenance, but the bathrooms were clean, the showers hot, and the grounds were bursting with pink, magenta, and white wildflowers. A short walk takes you to the Rogue River boat ramp and some trails (altho the river had overrun its banks due to recent rains, so some trails had squishy areas or big puddles). The park has full hookups, but electric service is 20 amp & 110 only. Most of the RV sites are bumpy & sloped. We were in site 5, which probably was the best of the bunch. We had spotty cell service...no service or one bar in the park, and briefly had 2 bars by the river. Our stay was pleasant & relaxing. Wished we could stay a few more days.

I needed to do some cleaning and organizing and felt a day without travel and with air conditioning (electricity needed for that) was in order. This park was just the ticket. Dogs are welcome and there is a nice bird watching trail.

Nice park! Not cheap but very well maintained. All sites had water. Bathrooms were well stocked. Playground and large field for kids to run. River access for boats. Nice camp hosts. Small store and restaurant nearby. Sites with full hookups available
