The boat ramp is open and fees are being collected. Campground area surrounded by many large cement blocks with “no camping” stenciled on them, so looks to be a permanent closure. Campsite behind blocks was littered with lots of down fall from trees.

Small Campground on a tributary to Ochlockonee River, in Apalachicola National Forest.
Our stayed was wonderful, quite and peaceful with no one around. Only us and nature :)
The weather was great, not so hot, cloudy with a nice breeze keeping the bugs out.
We camped here Feb 15 to Feb 17 in a class B MH
Every site has a picnic table, a grill and a fire ring. Dry Camping. Sites are mostly level and under the trees. There are non-flush toilets and drinking water.
The price per night is $3.00 ... with the National Park Pass is $1.50 per night ... First-come first-served
The road in is dirt and 2 miles from a paved road.
Note: There is a proposal to raise the camping fee to $10.00 per night
Maggie would stay here again

We came here in May and the bugs were terrible, any other time of the year it works be a nice place. Shaded and open sites with BBQs, fire pits and benches. Vault toilets. Cycling distance to the Florida scenic trail. We did have a problem with ticks, not sure if this is again due to the time of year.
