Had 3 nights in the park, even though we have a camper van stayed in a sight without services - a great choice. The 26 loop has a good number of trees and a modicum of privacy between sites - way better than the open plains of the RV sites; in addition, no road noise. The design of the sites are a series of small loops, which really cuts down on drive by traffic and fosters a neighborhood feel. Bathrooms and showers are new, well maintained, and well done; they can get busy, especially showers, in the AM and around dinner time…as there are only 2 regular and one handicap shower per building. The camp provides FREE firewood - who does that? - and there’s a ginormous pile to pick from, need an axe or hatchet to split it up for kindling to get started. There’s a great amphitheater for programs, play structures for little kiddos, and a Mexican food truck and a pastry barista truck in the center of the park if you need additional sustenance. Jasper proper is only 3 km away, about a 45 minute fast walk or a 5 minute car ride; biking is probably 10-15 minutes. Lots of hiking in proximity, rafting, and the Sky Tram which is pretty cool and some good high vantage point walking and looking out at the confluence of the Miette and Athabasca rivers, and the upper icefields valley. Amazing. T-mobile service was next to nothing, and no wifi…good to be disconnected.

The bathhouses seem to be all brand new and were the nicest push-button shower experience we’ve come across in 6 years of full time RV travel. In the summer there is a little coffee shop and a taco truck. We stayed in loop 16 and an elk family routinely hung out near our site which was super fun to see. We also loved how close the park was to town and hiking. We would definitely stay again!

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #43E, a 50A E only, BI site for $28 plus the National Park pass. This was a very easy campground to navigate. It is set up as a series of circular pods making it easy to get around and back in. Loop 43, sites E and G have trees for shade. Many sites in this campground do not as they had to remove trees due to beetle infestations. The bathhouse is pretty new and one of the nicest I’ve seen. Individual shower rooms are accessed from inside the building which is nice. Plus they have benches and hooks to hang up stuff while you shower. It was very clean and bright. There was plenty of space between sites and it was quiet (except for the elk who were in rut…) I never noticed any highway noise. Connectivity: 1-2 bars 3G/4G at times with Verizon International plan. No wifi, no OTA channels. The signal in town was much stronger – 3 bars 5G. There are two decent grocery stores in Jasper and a lovely library where you can go use the wifi. The firewood was free!! Big bonus in my mind. Lots of great hiking all around, lakes and rivers for kayaking and different activities. We bought an Adventure Pass package. It included 5 things: Golden Skybridge (lots of fun adult activities), Jasper Lake Maligne boat tour, Icefield Parkway glacier walk and Skywalk visit (saw mountain goats there), Banff gondola ride, and Lake Minnewanka boat tour. All five were great! And the package was a really good deal when you added up what it would cost to do all of those individually. If you go in September for the elk rut, take it seriously. They are crazy and come right up to your rigs. Someone had a door taken off their truck because the elk felt challenged. We watched some of the males chase females all around and they wouldn’t have stopped if you got in their way. It was fascinating to watch though! I can’t say enough good things about this campground and the area. Definitely want to go back.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. We got site 15M in the loop that's outside the main section off of Whistlers Rd. Even though most of the terrain in this campground has been sadly clearcut due to beetle infestation, limiting privacy... our campsite was lush with vegetation and quite private, quiet, and easily navigated. The restroom facilities here are IMMACULATE. Bathrooms and separate showers are seemingly brand new, spotlessly clean, and pleasant... also a close and easy walk from any site in the loop. Note however, they do close the entire building each morning for a good hour or so between 9 & 11am. This was a slight inconvenience for a wonderful outcome. I'd stay here again and again.

Regularly cleaned! Even had nice commercial kitchen sinks for a dish washing station with hot water. Elk (mommas and babies) roamed the campground so had to open doors slowly to check your surroundings. Close to town and convenient to sightseeing excursions. Trail system linked up to everywhere! Big pile of free cut firewood. Starlink worked perfect!

We stayed here 6/14-6/18. We were able to make reservations a few days in advance for 2 nights and then decided to extend and we’re able to get a spot by walking to the reservation center. There are 700+ sites so I would imagine you could almost always find something… the loops that are closer to the outer/back edge are still tucked in the trees while the center of the CG and towards the reservation center are in the area that I presume was logged for beetle death. They seemed to be most of the full hookup sites.
You definitely don’t feel that the CG is so large- each loop is 10-15 sites, both loops we stayed in were well spaced. We stayed in 47A (electric) and 30D (no hookups no fire) and both were great. We were able to fit our 32’ fifth wheel in 30D which the website had as 27’ or less no problem. Free clean showers and nice bathrooms in the loops.
Would definitely stay here again, great spot to go do other activities around Jasper. Site pricing is dependent on what services you have.

This is a very organized campground, you would never know there were over 781 sites, with 58 loops! This is a good base camp for all things in and around Jasper, most people were off exploring during the day. There is a lot to do in the area (hiking, site seeing, mountain biking, sky tram (go for the sunset!), brewery to name a few). We were able to walk up and get a site, lucky perhaps, we site hopped to extend our stay. The check in center was huge!
Sites vary from shady to sunny, small to large, fires allowed (for and extra fee) to no fires allowed, level to not so level, privacy to not so much privacy. We camped in the dry camping area on a gravel pad with a table, located in the area where no wood fires allowed. Generators allowed during certain hours. Restroom were pristine, very new, very nice! There were enclosed shelters with wood stoves. Dark sky compliant lights, mountain biking trails from the campground, enormous dump station with multiple lanes, Verizon cell service varied from 1-3 bars and if you are lucky you may get to see some elk.
