for a one night stay this campground is fine for a level gravel campground. You get some freeway noise, not bad, and some train noise. The wifi is good. selected the AT&T call as 3 bars, but we would see it go to 1 and up to 4, it didn't stay consistent.

Nothing really great in my opinion about this campground but I AM grateful to have a SAFE place to stop on the side of I-80 with a good cell phone/ WiFi signal and with a clean bathroom. This campground looks and feels just like a KOA and as all KOAs have at a minimum a clean bathroom and an easy interstate access, these type of campgrounds will always get at least three stars even though the actual site is a gravel parking lot and nothing more. This has one advantage over a KOA, they offer a military, AARP, AAA Discount.

Just changed our review to one star because of the very toxic smell from an enormous refinery on the east end of town. If the wind is from the west, it’s ok. But I wouldn’t stay here again.

A big gravel lot with tables and hookups and, if the wind is right, a lovely smell from the refinery. Nice sunset view. Our site 74 was good....back toward the setting sun. Not very many good RV parks in Wyoming.

Western Hills was the exact right location to break up two 300 mile legs. The campground is easy to get to off I80. It's big and wide open with wide roomy sites. Easy to maneuver around and park. It's basically a large gravel lot, no trees or greenery. But that was ok. We were only there for night. It was impeccably clean. No trash at all. We didn't use any of the facilities and had one of the "electric only" sites. I now wish we had stayed an extra day to see Rawlins. So much history there. It was very quiet there. No highway noise at all, though windy and gusty (welcome to the Wyoming high prairie)
Our T-Mobile network Consumer Cellular phones had decent LTE connection. My AT&T network hotspot device had absolutely nothing. And wouldn't until we arrived Salt Lake City. The campground does have a decent free WiFi as long as you don't use graphics heavy websites or try to stream anything. It was enough for email and looking at Google maps.

Stayed one night- nice place to relax. It’s quiet and the view is good. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. And my kids loved the playground and mini golf.

No Sprint signal.
This is a large gravel lot type of place, but it is orderly and nicely maintained. Bathhouse was very clean and staff was very friendly. Very quiet at night. The interstate is barely detectable. I was lucky enough to be there on a rare non-windy day so can't speak to any potential dust issues. There is a steam locomotive on display a short walk away (I want to say it was to the east) - worth checking it out.

Stayed here for the night. This place is just one big gravel parking lot with the ability to hold a couple hundred RV's. The spaces are tightly packed together, the only thing separating you from the trailer next to you is a picnic table. This part of Wyoming is windy, and I mean 30-40mph windy. Because it's gravel expect a LOT of dust to be blowing around. It had your standard full hookups, and sites with nothing, just a space to park in. There were some cabins there as well, but at $55 a pop you would be better off sleeping in a tent. The cabins are no frills with bunks, electric, and a small window AC. The positive about this place were the bathrooms, they were spotless. Now the real downside for me was that they advertised a dog park which turned out to be a fenced in area maybe 15x20 feet on the side of a hill going up an incline with nothing but dirt and some sparse weeds. My dogs didn't know what to do as they are accustomed to going on grass. Don't advertise a dog area if it's just dirt!!
