This is a wonderful area. There are Pay for use campgrounds further up the road but are often full on weekend. If you like hiking use the trailhead to Mirror lake. Be warned it is only a mile hike but when you clear the trees it climbs fast and is exposed. Kids won't usually make the whole trip There is lake in the canyon you can troll and fish for trout. The River is also good for fishing.
