Decided to try out this free area so made my reservation online. That was all easy enough, God bless em. Access is by a dirt road and Google, famously, isn't that good with dirt roads so I spent an extra 45 minutes trying to find the place. Decided to try out this free area so made my reservation online. That was all easy enough, God bless em. Access is by a dirt road and Google, famously, isn't that good with dirt roads so I spent an extra 45 minutes trying to find the place. Google tried to bring me in from the east but it was on roads that had locked gates and didn't go through anyway. There is only one way to get into this site, and it's a dead end road. You have to come in from the north, on Webb Landing road. Have your app take you to the town of Chumuckla, then continue west for a couple more miles till you see Webb Landing road, a sand / dirt road, that peels off to your left/south. It's about 5 mi on this road south to Webb landing WMA. It had rained recently so there was a little bit of a washout to cross. The washout was only a few inches deep, but my pop-up trailer has small wheels so I took out my shovel and moved a little bit of sand around from the road surface to make it easier for the trailer to go through it. The WMA itself had just three sites but if you were desperate for a place to sleep for the night there's a big parking lot that you could camp in.

Our campsite #1, was sloped but had a picnic table and bbq pit. Right on the river which we both loved. No one was there but us and a couple late night (10:30) cars and trucks doing donuts in the parking area.

Had a 7 day reservation for site 1. It’s was raining and had been for a couple days. Site number 1 I couldn’t get my camper in they had graded the gravel a foot high around it. Also the site had a river of rain running through it. Site 2 was flooded and site 3 looked ok however there was a guy there that made my wife feel uncomfortable... more
Had a 7 day reservation for site 1. It’s was raining and had been for a couple days. Site number 1 I couldn’t get my camper in they had graded the gravel a foot high around it. Also the site had a river of rain running through it. Site 2 was flooded and site 3 looked ok however there was a guy there that made my wife feel uncomfortable. On the way out the road was flooded so bad I was afraid I couldn’t get through. I did but was not comfortable doing so.
