Beautiful red sandy beach area. Fire pit and table. Vault toilet. Zero people here but it is mid October. Lake is very low but what a view.

Drove back into the park. Virtually empty. Plenty of spots to choose from. We stayed in spot WP 10 which was right next to the water and had a great view. Lots of wind off the lake the night we stayed. Quiet, peaceful and a really nice spot.

Talk to the person at the park entrance. Get a map. If you are looking for dispersed campsites, no reservation is required. Dispersed sites are first come, first served. We had to pay the $18 non resident fee. Wyoming residents pay $10 per night.
A very good road winds through the State Park to the various parks, marina, and Boat Ramp. The short dirt road down to the campsite can obviously become very muddy. But the dirt was dry when we camped here.
Other small campgrounds are scattered all around Glendo State Park. Each has its own personality and amenities. If you want electric sites with concrete pads, they are very level and are available by calling (877) 444-6777.
At Waters Point, the lake is right there! Some sites are near the trees and had been taken. But the sites are well spaced if not exactly level. Bring your blocks. A dumpster is on the main road. A very clean pit toilet is near the campsites. Personnel check the campgrounds daily.
Lots of fisher folks. But not terribly crowded. Beautiful beach to play and cool off. The bugs were present. But they were mayflies and didn’t bite us.
We found flint right on the beach. Lots of interesting geology. We saw fish from the canoe. But no licenses. So we did not fish.
Lots of birds from geese to herons to seagulls. We saw deer and heard coyotes!
Close to Douglas and Guernsey with lots and lots of history. All in all a lovely place to camp. Lots to do and lots of space.
We will be back.
