“Best campsite on our entire trip”

Reviewed Oct 24, 2018

We didn't have any luck securing a spot with our Escape campervan on the next door first come first served campground so we were rather desperate when we pulled into the Watchman which also displayed that it was full. However, luck was in our favor and the ranger gave us a small spot without any hookups and we were over the moon! Beaut... more

“Very nice National Park Campground ”

Reviewed Oct 04, 2018

50 amp electric. No sewer or water at site. There is a dump as you enter.

Reservations almost a must!

Loop A has paved sites with new patio areas. Loop B has gravel sites. Next time we’ll try for A.

Bathrooms are in very good shape. No showers.

Easy walk to visitor center and town.

When you stay in the campground you are only a short walk to the free shuttle, park store and information center, river and the town of Springdale. Not very many NP campground has electricity but this one does. Loop A has paved sites but Loop B does not. The only reason I mention this is the wind kicks up in the afternoon and blows ... more

“Nice Campground But Closed Bathrooms”

Reviewed Jul 09, 2018

Overall Rating

I booked our spot quite a bit in advance, so we would be close to the facilities. When we got there the closest bathroom was closed. The ranger explained that they had to close some of them because they couldn't get any of the rangers to volunteer to clean them. I'm not sure I would jump at the chance to "volunteer" to clean public res... more

“Amazing view and large private site. ”

Reviewed May 22, 2018

Staying in the park within walking distance of the visitor center and shuttle busses is a great way to avoid the lines at the front gate. Site was level and was surrounded by a wall of trees that provided a good sense of privacy. Water is available at the bathroom (outside spigot) or at the dump station located near loop a. “National Park camping at its finest! ”

Reviewed Mar 12, 2018

When visiting national parks we love staying inside the park. The convenience of being able to walk to the visitor center, shuttle stop, and even into town for supplies and tasty pizza is hard to beat. But then you throw in a scenic campground with generously sized sites alongside a river and things get even better. Love this campgroun... more

“Nicer than most National Park campgrounds.”

Reviewed Feb 01, 2018

We stayed here Thanksgiving 2016. Sites are decently spread out, we had hookups. It's nice to be inside the park boundary due to the amount of traffic on a daily basis waiting to get into the park. A lot of the sites have little plateaus of differing elevation, which is a nice touch. I get the feeling there's no avoiding the crowds... more

“Stunning views”

Reviewed Dec 23, 2017

So very impressed with National Park camp grounds and this one is one of the best! Extremely clean and modern rest rooms, large level sites with power. Close to shops and restaurants as well. Our home country could definitely learn some lessons and how to do camping grounds well like these! (New Zealand)

The scenery is just stunning. The price for our side (30 amp) was $30 per night, but with our senior discount, we only paid $15.
