50 amp electric. No sewer or water at site. There is a dump as you enter.
Reservations almost a must!
Loop A has paved sites with new patio areas. Loop B has gravel sites. Next time we’ll try for A.
Bathrooms are in very good shape. No showers.
Easy walk to visitor center and town.

Not very many NP campground has electricity but this one does. Loop A has paved sites but Loop B does not. The only reason I mention this is the wind kicks up in the afternoon and blows the dust. Most campsites are shaded making it seem cooler during our stay from June 14 thru June 19.

I booked our spot quite a bit in advance, so we would be close to the facilities. When we got there the closest bathroom was closed. The ranger explained that they had to close some of them because they couldn't get any of the rangers to volunteer to clean them. I'm not sure I would jump at the chance to "volunteer" to clean public restrooms either. Although a sign on the door said they would open again in May, the ranger said he wasn't sure if that would happen. One thing that would have made the trek to the bathroom more bearable was if they would have turned on the water at the dishwashing sink outside the restroom. The facilities we were able to use were clean. No showers. Watchman is very conveniently located near the Visitors' Center and Shuttles.

Water is available at the bathroom (outside spigot) or at the dump station located near loop a. Electricity at our site was 20/30 amp at 121 volts.
Verizon LTE coverage was spotty at best flipping between LTE, 3G, and 1x at random on my iPhone 6s. Browsing was tolerable but latency was up in the 800ms range and pings to google.com resulted in 20-30% packet loss.
My mifi with external antenna pointed at the closest tower provided a solid 5mb/s down, 120ms ping times and about 2% packet loss to google.com.

Would have been pretty rough during the summer.

We also have a lifetime Senior Pass so we didn't have to pay the entrance fee (which is minimal anyway). Campsites are clean, level, and well laid out. We would have preferred a little more privacy but overall it was a great location. Bathrooms feature flush toilets and sinks. There is a separate outside sink for washing dishes. Quiet times are strictly enforced, which we appreciate. Camp stewards do a fantastic job of keeping an eye on things while not being intrusive. The shuttle is just brilliant. It runs every few minutes and takes you to all the sites. We never even saw our car, except in camp, for the entire visit. Staff at the visitor's center are knowledgeable and very happy to suggest hikes/activities. We will definitely be back.

Actual stay August 29, 2017. Watchman campground is a great location for exploring Zion NP. Cost of campsite was $15 with our senior pass, regular price $30 per night. A dump station and potable water are just pass the range station. Our campsite B-43 is not ideal for an RV or travel trailer. Picnic table and fire pit were on the driver side. Better suited for tent camping. Weather was warm in late August and this site is fully exposed to the west in the late afternoon. Very little shade. Site A-10, B09 or B11 might be a better bet. Do your research before you choose your site. Bus system in Zion NP and the town Springdale is outstanding. Nicely done.

We love staying inside the national park campgrounds. While there is a high cost - the headaches of not having to sit in traffic at the gate every morning or worry about parking is worth it!
We were on the river, and could hear it but not see it without walking over the path (a path goes along the river between the back of the site and the river). There are a few other sites that are truly on the river with 'dip your toes in the river access' farther down the loop.
Picnic table, fire ring and freshly laid red gravel that was fairly level. We had 30 amp electric and easy access to water. Restrooms are nice, but no showers. There is a dish washing tub for tenters to use.
Hosts are onsite and seen often running around cleaning sites. Garbage is nearby - but no recycle.
We loved the quick walk to the visitor center for catching the early buses to hit the trails. Evenings spent in the shadow of the Watchman and watching the light play off the canyons - priceless!

The campground was off the main round but I didnt hear the cars. We were in Loop B at a site closest to the river and it was heavenly to hear the water running at night. Sites are spaced nicely with even amount of shade from trees and clearing for sun. There is a trail along the river to walk to the grocery store if you need any provisions just make sure you have your campsite receipt to re-enter. Bathrooms were clean and there were exterior sinks for dishwashing.
I have Verizon and cell coverage was good. Stayed in late April
Highly recommend Watchman!
