If you visit the park, Angels Landing hike is life changing. Take a lunch and enjoy. It's a challenging hike but in the top five on my life experiences. I did the hike with my 9 and 11 year old sons in tow. Checkerboard Mesa is also fine to hike on.

You can get water at several spigots nearby but you either have to drive/tow your rig to one or carry water in a container back and forth and we saw several people doing that. We can carry 30 gallons of fresh water, so it was not an issue for us. If you can get a spot here, we highly recommend it.

Due to availability, we split our stay between C Loop and A Loop. At A Loop we heard considerable noise from town across the river, specifically a live band playing until 9pm. While the music was fine, noises and lights from the city wasn't really what we wanted to hear when trying to get outside and disconnect. I would recommend avoiding any loop near the river.

The location is within walking distance of Springdale and most importantly, the brewery. There you can also catch the shuttles into the park. The Zion bike/walking path is right there as well.
The campground has good shade and is surrounded by beautiful Zion mountains. Be sure to keep you're food put away or the aggressive squirrels will get to it immediately. They have no fear, I would guess too many people think it's cute to feed them.
We rode our bikes to the trails we wanted to hike. It feels very safe, the shuttle buses will not pass you until you stop to the side for them. There's hardly any other traffic. So consider bringing or renting bikes to get around.

I just stayed for 9 nights at Watchman Campground in Zion National Park. Originally I had reserved for 3 nights in site #52R ("R" sites are directly on the Virgin River). After that I wanted to go on to Bryce Canyon National Park, but then the weather forecast for Bryce changed drastically (down to 22°F at night) and I decided to stay longer in Zion.
I was able to stay for 6 more nights in various sites in Loop B and had a great time. Almost all the "R" sites in Loop B are exceptional, many other sites are great, too. I was there shortly after the park and the campground re-opened after the Covid-19 closure and therefore the park was not very full.
One good thing about Watchman Loop A and Loop B is that you have electricity on site, and potable water and dump station close by - therefore no generator noise (generators are actually not allowed).
The campground is great; the park is great; the people who work there are very friendly. I would definitely come here again if I'm again in the vicinity (and could get a reservation).

A word about height. When you reserve, they make it clear the length of the site and that only RV’s less than 12.5’ in height are allowed. Many sites can accommodate you if you are oversized in height. Do your research, I used maps and the campsite photos website. Not all sites are level in Loop B. Site 58 was pretty perfect for our big rig. There was some green space on both sides and you have a river view out the back.
Amazing restrooms, no showers though.
Take the walking bridge across the river but be sure to take your entrance fee receipt or your pass. Highly recommend the IPA at the brewery!
Do stay long enough to thoroughly explore this beautiful park. Take the hike up the Narrows, Angel’s Landing and Watchman out of the campground.

We walked from the campground to Zion NP and I WOULD NOT advise you to do the same. Take the shuttle bus. The path that leads from the campground to the main area of Zion NP ends and you are forced to walk on the road, which are used by the shuttle buses. Or, we could have gotten lost once the path pavement ended, LOL.
Be sure to get soft serve ice cream at the Zion Lodge. It was quite good.

We were in Loop B and found the sites to be quite close together compared to other national parks we’ve camped at. Our site was also extremely unlevel and a little tricky to get into from the narrow loop road; the camper in the site across from us kindly moved their truck so we had enough swing room to back into our space. Definitely read the site descriptions carefully when making a reservation because some of them are quite small, and even the larger sites may have access challenges.
All that being said, we did like having electricity and internet service at our site, a rarity in national park campgrounds. The views of the surrounding cliffs from camp were just beautiful. It was an easy walk up to the visitor center to catch the shuttle bus, which is a necessity in this busy and parking-challenged park. The town of Springdale literally abuts the campground (across the river) and it was a nice treat to have several restaurants within walking distance of the campground. The grocery store in Springdale is like a miniature Whole Foods, with an excellent selection of organic products and not-too-outrageous prices for the quality offered.
We would stay here again in a second, but to us it felt much more urbanized and less tranquil than most of the national park campgrounds we have visited.
