Nice campground albeit I wasn't able to enjoy all the amenities due to other plans. Site 018 was fairly level & electric was good based on my meter I have inside camper. Nice campground albeit I wasn't able to enjoy all the amenities due to other plans. Site 018 was fairly level & electric was good based on my meter I have inside camper. It was a little difficult backing into even with my 22' trailer. All the sites along the east side appear to be fairly level. Others camping need to understand when quiet hours are & show some respect to other campers.
Cell service was good 2-3 bars with Verizon.
Cost was MO State Park off-season of $19-21/night plus their $6.50 reservation fee.
My biggest complaint is the dump station... D-. I should be thankful they have one. First, I was able to maneuver into the loop without going down into the tent area or backing up. If you have anything bigger than 25 ft (??) trailer, you're going to have to make loop into tent section or back up first to pull into station. Second, IT'S SLOPED THE WRONG WAY!! Front of trailer is sloped up hill & slightly away from station. I managed to get most of my black tank drained, but I know I didn't get it completely drained out. Depending on how your RV is setup... good luck getting your tanks drained.

Site #11 was a level and long paved back-in site. 30 Amp service.
the pull through sites seemed like they had quite a slope.

Overall Rating
Washington State Park is one of MO's older parks. We've pickniced and hiked before, but this is our first camping trip here. The campground is very clean and we'll maintained. Site 018 is very level and is easy to back into. The site faces into thick woods and feels very private.

Wonderful! Well-maintained campground with friendly helpful staff. Some electric sites are more level than others. Kinda remote. The campground is very well maintained. All electric sites have gravel pad area and are very level. Mature trees balance with open areas. Fresh water spigots throughout as well as bathhouse, bathroom, and various vault toilets. Primitive sites are more “natural” in their slants. Most aren’t too extreme however. Full tree cove... more

All electric sites have gravel pad area and are very level. Mature trees balance with open areas.
Fresh water spigots throughout as well as bathhouse, bathroom, and various vault toilets.
Primitive sites are more “natural” in their slants. Most aren’t too extreme however. Full tree coverage and woodsy feel.
All campsites have picnic table, lantern pole, and fire ring.
Dump station and dumpsters easily located near entrance.
Outdoor amphitheater, where they have various presentations during the season, is right next to one of the playgrounds.
A number of great trails located nearby. Varied difficulties and lengths.
There is a swimming pool located just down the road - still within the state park.. (I was not open yet.
