Plenty of rigs that size make it up there. If you want to go to the lower area, you will need to turn around at the plateau area first. Beginning 2021, pretty much every dispersed camping area in the Crested Butte area has been converted into designated site only. First come first serve, two week max, should be signage before you get to far down the road letting you know if the area is full.

Plenty of room on this road in several places. There is also a big plateau parking area between the two bends in the road. Can’t miss it.

You’re good. Just don’t go too far in...you will eventually see where people camp with similar campers.

The clearance is fine part of the way. When we got to the Y with the forest service signs, we explored by foot/bike. We have a 35’ foot 5th wheel and were fortunate to find a site not too far in. The fork to the right at the Y would be an area you would want to stay away from in my opinion. The area is awesome, we stayed 2 weeks.

You should be totally fine, but you may need to keep an eye out for low hanging branches on certain parts of the road. There are a couple different spurs that will give you some options. I am 50' with truck and trailer and about 9' high and had no issues at all. Beautiful spot.
