Warsaw Caves Campmground

Stayed here for 1 night as we made our way from Toronto to Ottawa. Be sure to check that your camper will fit. They originally assigned us to site #2, despite being told we were in a 25ft rv with slide out. The site was nice but too overgrown with branches on both sides to accommodate an rv.

When I went back to the office for a new site, I noticed they had a color coded map tacked up on the wall and site #2 was for tent campers/pop up campers! Site #27 is for rvs but don't think they can accommodate rigs larger than 35 ft.

There's also no hookups here, only water spigots scattered around the campground. They also don't have a dump station. Bathrooms were pit toilets with no showers. So I felt this campground was quite expensive for the lack of facilities.

The only saving grace was the cool caves. There's a network of 7 or 8 of them you can explore not too far from the campground. Bring a headlamp, wear good soled shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty and dive in! One (the ice cave #4) still had a layer of snow in it during the summer.

There's also a river you can canoe down -they rent canoes. And a river beach area for wading.
