First time camping at this Army Corp campground. Based on another review I selected site 24. It is one of the best sites I’ve ever used. Plenty of space for my camper, dogs, and a screen house; plus a nice fire ring area. Sites nearby are separated by tree lines and elevation changes but sites in this loop are very level and spaced apart. The evening was severely quiet as all I could hear was nature.
If comparing to Bandit’s Roost about 3 miles away, the differences are night and day. I’ve written a separate review on that campground.

See my blog post for details. Reviewing so I can add cell info. In the loop I was in (22-40 or so), there was very little Verizon and no ATT. As soon as you get up the hill out of the loop, ATT comes online. The other loop might be different, as it is higher ground.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Senior pass got us the 1/2 price rate. Outside temp is 74 at 9 PM. Fire pit did have some garbage in it. Sites are close in some areas but site 7 is very spacious. Site is gravel and we were able to get our 17'er backed in to level without blocks and without unhitching. There are no area lights except at the bath house.
It was a little out of the way, but driving here from our planned route only added 12 miles to our trip and we won't have to backtrack.

Anyone with affected reservations will receive a full refund. Bandits Roost Campground and Fort Hamby Park remain open for reservations.
Trail access located at the entrance to Warrior Creek Campground is closed. Visitors wishing to access the Warrior Creek Trail System can utilize the trailhead adjacent to the Pump Track. Pump Track is located just off Boomer-Ferguson School Rd.
