Was here mid-April. Most of the sites are pretty open (few trees), but there are shade structures at the sites. The sites vary greatly in size, as some can fit multiple rings and some just a van, so be careful when you choose your site. We stayed here in our 38’ motorhome with toad. We had plenty of room. Level gravel parking. Nice staff and office. Snug but very doable entrance and exit.

The main area is just a parking lot with a picnic table at each camping site space. So you are right next to your neighbors. Everyone was quiet and respectful, but there's not much privacy or room to spread out. Lovely views of sunsets. In the tent area, a bit north of the entrance, you park and then walk a few hundred yards to select a site...

Was here in April and the wildflowers were stunning. Walked all the trails, great birding, and went kayaking too. They have a playground, ice cream stand, firewood, beach volleyball, fields, and more for occupying kids. There are also cabins. Great little park for a weekend or as a base for regional attractions like the nearby caverns....

Tried to stay here in April, but the gates are locked after hours. This is mentioned on this site and their official site, but I didn't notice until it was too late. I ended up sleeping on a dirt pullout by the entrance, another van was already there camping. I left near sunrise so didn't have a problem, but if you want to camp here I'd plan...
