“Sometimes a Little Junky”

Reviewed 11/18/2022

Nightly rate: FREE!
Overall Rating

This spot is often used by road construction crews to store construction barriers and heavy machinery. I recently dropped by (nov ‘22), there’s room to setup camp but it’s a little junky. Hopefully it’ll be cleared up by spring.

9.8 mi or 15.8 km from hwy 69. first rd on left after Wahnapitae river. on east side of road . About 25 mi to Killarney park. Mostly level, large gravel area that will fit big rigs and no need to unhook towed. Not visible from hwy 637. Very quiet and dark. Some locals leave their cars parked here. Looks like staging area for snowmobiles. You can access the river via a very narrow dirt road with lots of low branches. We left our camper here and drove into Killarney park. Hwy 637 is very bumpy although it is supposed to be repaved 2022.
