Walmart

I left Cracker Barrel in the morning before the rain and went across the street to Walmart/Murphy for fuel. A man with a backpack blocked me from pulling into the pump, and then stepped back just enough to let me in. He was waiting for me when I exited the coach. He said, "I bet a big rig like that you gonna use a card. I got cash. I'll trade you your card for cash." After a curt "no," he walked over to his truck and a group hanging out behind the gas station. Another guy tried the same trick as I was leaving, but at that point I was mad enough to rip someone's head clean off, so he backed off.

The parking lot (trash, cars, people) looked very rough and nothing like the photo submitted here. A police officer was talking to a group by the gas station and left while I was there. I needed water and a few groceries, but I didn't feel safe enough.

The area near the interstate with Home Depot and Applebees looked much better, so perhaps ask to stay there.
