“It’s a descent spot for a night stay.”

Easy access to the parking lot. A bit noisy but safe area to stay the night. There’s a Home Depot across the street and a few food joints in walking distance. Close to Scott’s Bluff National Monument.

“A little busy and loud”

Called ahead and they said no problem, you can stay overnight. It's a little loud right next to the highway and the parking lot was busy until closing time (10pm when we stayed). But overall it felt safe and was a good location for checking out Scotts Bluff National Monument.

We also drove over to Lake Minatare State Recreation Area and kinda wished we had camped there instead. It was a reasonable price for partial hookups (water, power) with a nice, large dump station for sewer. The lake was beautiful and the campground was basically empty. It's a bit of a drive outside the town but if you're looking at staying at the Walmart, check out the lake first if you want quieter and more scenic.
