Felt safe to stop here. When I arrived I was the only RV but after a few hours more RVs showed up. We all parked on the side of the parking lot along the grass. One RV was even parked at Sam’s. It wasn’t too hot at night so we opened the windows and turned on the fan to get a breeze going. And picked up some items to restock the fridge... more
Felt safe to stop here. When I arrived I was the only RV but after a few hours more RVs showed up. We all parked on the side of the parking lot along the grass. One RV was even parked at Sam’s. It wasn’t too hot at night so we opened the windows and turned on the fan to get a breeze going. And picked up some items to restock the fridge and pantry in the store. Would definitely stay here again.

One of the better Walmarts I’ve stopped at. Lots of RVs and rigs overnighted here, and surprisingly, parking lot was about 1/4 full of shopper’s cars, so lots of room. Knocked down a star because, well, it’s Walmart and as it typical, always a bit of road and vehicle noise. But flat parking spots are easy to score.

They still allow over night parking. A couple RV’s and cars scattered through the parking lot. Not a bad place for the night. I would give it five stars but the mens rooms in the front and back of store were pretty nasty.

Several of the top rated RV spots were full. After calling around we decided a night of boondocking was in order. We parked at the edge of the Sam’s parking lot. Green grass out our door. Several of the top rated RV spots were full. After calling around we decided a night of boondocking was in order.
We parked at the edge of the Sam’s parking lot. Green grass out our door. The weather was cool so we ran the generator for supper and a movie only.
One truck driver felt the need to honk several times upon arrival at 2am so there are jerks everywhere.
We are Plus members so at 8am we shopped at Sam’s. After some tourist stops in our car we shopped at Walmart for DEF, and other items.
Loaded up the car and hit the road mid afternoon.
Highly recommend Roswell and this parking area.

With some Walmarts not allowing overnight camping during COVID, this one clearly is, so we wanted to share that info. There were 5-6 others here and one in Sam’s Club lot as well.

Great stop, we arrived around 6 and about an hour later there were 4 more rv’s. Generators were running and slides were out. The Walmart does not have the souvenir section and there was a long line to get in since the state was shut down due to Covid. There were 2-4 tourist spots open in town.

Pulled in about 10pm and parked close to 2 other RVs. A few minutes later we were joined by another party of campers. Let the stabilizers down and opened up slide. Night was cool so we just opened windows and didn't run generator to not disturb fellow campers.

pulled in around 10pm and there were 2 other rigs and a trucker. All very lit areas and cameras. We put levels down and ran generator for ac. Was very quiet and felt safe. Woke up, grabbed what was needed from walmart and hit the road again. Would stay here again!
