“Horrible Experience here”

Lots of RVs and other parking lot campers here. Also, there were separate groups of 15 or so local young people throughout the parking lot partying loudly. Sometimes they would be yell and cussing at each other. Then, it started to rain and they all began drag racing or doing donuts in the parking lot a few feet from our spot. One guy acted like he was going to hit the parked RVs and then swerved at the last minute.

All in all, it did not feel safe nor was it quiet here.

“Super loud road noise ”

It’s great that this Walmart allows people to stay overnight and if you are out of options, definitely stay here. It felt safe. Get as far away from the road as Walmart will allow for overnight guests! The road noise was the worst I’ve ever experienced. From 10PM until 1AM on Friday night, every kind of noise making vehicle went down that road continuously. I must have finally fallen asleep only to be woken up around 2:30AM by sounds of drag racing. I had ear plugs in and it was still too loud to sleep. If you’re only in town for one night I recommend taking advantage of the West Main Trailhead option on the other end of town. It had some noise but much less than this Walmart. Maybe weekdays are quieter. I stayed on a Friday night in June.
