Walmart

I felt completely safe here. It was a but noisy until around 10pm or so, but nothing unexpected. I parked at the end where the gardening dept is and there were about 5-6 other rvs/truckers parked as well. I had a great nights sleep and would stay here again! Cellphone coverage was great, I watched a movie before falling asleep without issue.

this was easy to find and easy to pull in to park. Very well lit area and a little Caesars in walking distance to grab a bite if needed. When we got here there were probably 5-6 rigs and maybe 7 truckers. Not noisy except when the truckers come in and out and one left his truck running all night right next to us. Other than that, easy peasy and would stay here again.

We stayed on our way through Kansas as we raced ahead of a winter storm. Except that storm caught up to us around 3am and we seriously Googled "at what wind speed will a camper trailer tip over?" We laugh a bit now, but it was scary when it happened.

The lot is large and well lit. We asked permission from the store manager and they were friendly and directed us to park in the corner of the lot. When we parked we didn't have any neighbors. But right about the time the wind picked up we had a few big rig 18-wheelers pull up next to us and stay the night with their engines running loudly all night.

This Walmart is open 24/7 so we also heard vehicle traffic for most of the night.

Obviously our stay was a little unusual because of the wind, but don't expect a quiet night in this lot.
