There are 5 overnight campsites here. All sites are back in and #s 1 and 5 are the most level. Easy access. There are no amenities other than a pit toilet. Large grassy sites with covered picnic tables. About a 30 min drive to Waco. Quiet place used mostly by locals for fishing. Lots of birds and deer

We were the only ones there. The site next to the bathroom and farthest are the most level, this might be why no one was there. Very clean, good boat ramp.

The most level spots are the two closest to the bathroom and the one furthest from the bathroom. We were able to get level in the spot with the table labeled “3” in our 21’ camper but anything longer than 24’ or so would need levelers. The spots with tables labeled 4 and 2 are the most un-level so if you are going to set up a tent in the grass anyway, maybe take one of those to leave the more level spots for camper vans/ rvs.
There’s a dumpster down by the boat ramp. Pit toilets. Camp host made a couple rounds in a white pickup. And the guy in a red pickup truck running his generator non-stop that was mentioned in the previous review 1.5 years ago was still here! Yes stayed in his cab except to tend to the genny, yes seemed odd, but no, was not an issue. Could barely hear it two sites down and not at all in our van. However if he’s here and you are in a tent, the noise may be an issue for you.
Otherwise it’s a great place to stay with grassy areas for the dogs to run around and even though only 2 bars, the lte speed is fast! Average 10mbps.

Arrived at noon on Sunday, only two spots were occupied. One was a young couple at the end closest to entrance, and the other was an older pickup with the bed full of what I thought were tools, parked in the largest pull in next to bathrooms that had a covered table and fire pit.
I took the second spot which had no table or fire pit. No potable water.
The area is nice with the lake so close, but the toilets are the view until you walk down to water.
Nice boat ramp that several fishermen had taken advantage of.
The stay was ruined however by the ENORMOUS bon fire the couple had burning well into the night, obviously gleaning wood from the nearby brush since it was producing alot of smoke. The other issue was the pickup that I first thought could be a repair guy, first taking a spot that a much larger rv could have used, secondly was this guy ran his generator for the entire 24 hours I was there. After dark it sounded so much louder since the night was quiet, SO annoying. He appeared homeless but I also wondered what exactly he was doing since he stayed inside the cab with the windows covered the entire time I was there, only coming out to add
gas. Made me uncomfortable, I was hoping a park ranger would come through but no such luck. I would stay again but I would make sure he wasn't there.

The sign says there is a 14-day camping limit. By dark, 3 more sites had campers. No power, no water, no dump station. Real boondocking.

This was a beautiful campsite. You don’t have any hookups but there is a bathroom, fire pits and covered picnic tables. Would have been awesome to have a boat since you’re right next to a boating dock, but just watching the sunset over the lake was quite enjoyable. Only complaint is the large amount of trash and the insane amount of bugs. Do not leave your doors open unless you want hundreds of unwanted guests joining you.
As always, pack in, pack out. It’s sad to see how many people will just leave their trash on these beautiful spots.
