I have been going to Wallicut for 4 summers and they have always been wonderful in helping get my large group set up with sites, and that’s putting it simply. We have already booked another reservation for our group of 35+ sites for 2023 and it went smoother than EVER!!!
Given the opportunity, they do everything they can to make their campers happy. This last year (2022) was super wet before our arrival (enough they had geese swimming in puddles in the campsites). As a result, there were some holes in the grass where the water had puddled. As soon as we mentioned it, they were right there filling them. They also made sure we had an area for our annual picnic, checked on us often, and sooooo much more.
There were some bumps when the new company took over ownership but they have continued to work hard at making it a better campground and in communication with our group, and for that they get an A+!!
This is a simple, private campground so don’t expect a bunch of frills. They are also short-staffed, like every other place post-pandemic, so don’t expect perfection. Instead, be patient, communicate, and you will see what a great campground this truly is!

We had problems backing our boat in because the road is so narrow, the edges of the road drop off quite a bit. If you have a really long trailer or big rig don’t go to the back-in sites. It was $50.00 a night plus $10.00 a night to have the boat. The sites have power and water, so we had to pay $20.00 dump fee.

Other than this little hiccup, the place is perfect. The sites are big and roomy. Nice staff and the campers are awesome. Pacific Ocean beach is 4 miles away.

So glad we chose this spot!! Beautiful park with grass and trees. Bathrooms were spotless and showers were free!!! Staff and hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Convenient location to beach and fishing. Different options for camping: RV, tent and cabins all with their own fire pit and picnic table. Dog friendly. RV sites are large pull-thru with gravel pads and 30amp. Plenty of room for your tip-outs. Price may be a little higher than some but when you see what you get for the money it's more than reasonable. We will definitely be coming back. Already planning trips for the Kite Festival and Rod Run car show later this year!

We stayed 4 nights at the end of July 2019 and its a great location to make a base camp. Would come back.

Inquire ahead regarding $20.00 dump fee, if using water & electric only sites.
Otherwise, could be a big surprise. You would think after spending over $130.00 dumping would be included, but not here. First time ever that we’ve encountered this.

Checking in was confusing. The guy at the counter couldn't form a complete coherent sentence although he was very nice and tried his best to be helpful. I was allowed to choose my own site though the place was empty while all parks around were full. I took a no hookup site away from the road overlooking the swamp. I had a lovely view of dense foliage and a blue heron. Water was turned off in this area and porta-potties were provided. The ground was pretty soft for a RV.
In the morning while making breakfast the manager(?) knocked on my door to tell me I shouldn't have been allowed to camp there and the check out time, like he wanted me gone. Not my problem. Very unprofessional to disturb me with somebody elses problem. At least he didn't ask me to move.
On my way out to use the dump station, I was told it would be another $25 to dump my 10 gals of gray water. That's on top of the $30 I paid for a no hookup site. They recommended I go elsewhere to dump! WTF! They seemed completely oblivious to the type of operation they were running. It was apparent why this campground was nearly empty. At least the new owners will enjoy the peace and quiet. Except for the road noise, mosquitoes and stream of BS.

Came here and were pleasantly surprised. The hosts were warm and accommodating. The bathrooms were FREE and the cleanest we have ever seen at a campground. We came for the sand castle event and the rodeo and really enjoyed ourselves. There were lots of people staying for the fishing as the park is located just a couple of miles from 2 different boat harbors.
They are also dog friendly for a small one-time fee. So much better than a lot of rv parks where you are just crammed in next to other guests. This park is grass and big trees which we found so much more enjoyable than those cement parking lots. They even allowed us to put a small tent outside our rig so that the kids could have that experience. We will definitely be back!

These people go above and beyond any camp hosts I've ever met. Our motorcycle broke down and we didn't arrive when we had said we would and they actually called us to see if we were okay. Who does that? We ended up needing to stay a few extra days while the parts arrived and our bike was fixed and thoroughly enjoyed our campsite. Tent sites don't have power, but we were able to charge our phones at the office building. Clean showers. Maintained camp. Some of the sites have road noise -- but traffic quiets down at night. Very friendly, accommodating hosts. They gave suggestions as to things we could see and do locally to pass the time. It was so nice to have a relaxing place to "come home to" each night. We would definitely stay at Wallicut River RV Campground again.
