Overall Rating
Beautiful mostly peaceful dry camping spot on the Snake river with good views. There is 4-5 sparsely dispersed sites with more than adequate distance in between. Easy access to water at most spots if you have kayaks or canoes and pretty good wading for the kids.
It was mostly peaceful, however there are regular trains that pass by a couple hundred yards away, and also several people in the area were discharing firearms frequently during the day. Also be aware the main access road, Walker Pit/Wooden Rd., is gravel and very steep, so if you have a fairly large trailer or pulling one with a front-drive vehicle you may have trouble climbing the grade when it's time to leave.
No cell coverage for miles either with Verizon or AT&T/Cricket.
