“A good campground near to the coast!”

Vault toilet / no water / no bathroom sink / no shower / table / fire pit / middle-easy access / high shade.

A nice campground with big sites, toilets are clean, and price is realy correct. There is a lot of trees and a little river - a lot of mosquitos too. Access from north is on an unpaved road but it's ok, it's 30mn driving on a good road from Shelter Cove, where is a grocery. The coast is beautiful, it's the end of the Lost Coast Trail, at the black sand beach.

“Quiet secluded BLM camping”

13 sites. Steep winding rough-paved roads, however made it with no problem in our 1970 Avion , which has pretty low clearance. Just take your time. Sites are well spaced with plenty of tree and vegetation separating each. Shady. First come, first served. Plenty of vault toilets. Creek runs through. Trailhead located on site. Less than 1/2 hour drive to Shelter Cove and the Lost Coast - consider the black sand beaches a must! Water not available in the campground, mosquitoes were pretty bothersome late afternoon. When we were leaving, there were several workers on site painting the bathroom doors and clearing vegetation. A welcome respite from the hot central valley!
