The turn off of Highway 20 is at mile marker 5.90. There is not actually a mile marker at the turn but if you watch the mile markers this is where it would be. There is a small sign at the turn off indicating Camp One. Once you've found the turn off Hwy 20 there is one right turn where the road going straight is gated. There are no other intersections except for a couple of one lane campsite access roads. These are excellent campsites along the river but are usually occupied. The campsites are mostly widely spread out over two miles along several roads following the Noyo River on both sides. If you cross both bridges and then turn left following the river downstream, several of the campsites downstream give first priority to campers with horses. When you get to the river there is a picnic area with a covered table. There is also a concrete structure next to a small diversion dam. This is a salmon egg collection station. It is the reason many local residents refer to Camp One as: "The Egg Take."

I live in Fort Bragg and visit the Camp One / "Egg Take" area regularly, usually on my motorcycle. I've camped here numerous times.
