I didn’t need a hookup but there appeared to be a few hookup sites left at 8:30 pm, about 5 open tent sites, but I didn’t see any numbers, just pulled into a spot with a picnic table and wrote ‘tent’ on my envelope. Next to highway so a little noisy, but you feel like you’re in a well kept park with trees and playground. I’ve definitely paid a lot more for a lot less! $13.50 for no hook up. Great overnight, and plenty of bigger rigs look like they are here for longer stays.

When we made our reservation there were no more sites available with hookups so we paid $12 for an dry camping in an undesignated space. The confirmation said we would be assigned a spot upon arrival but we could not find a camp host so just took one of the many open tent sites in the perimeter of the campground. Bathrooms were clean. The other campers there were quiet with lots of friendly dogs. Walking distance to town. The grounds were meticulously maintained and a sign in the bathroom mentioned spraying for mosquitos. We would definitely return! There is some noise from the highway, but not too bad.

Although site 7 was perfectly level (grass) there is no way we could have backed in! There is a tree & site #8 was already settled and had multiple cars. Be prepared for the mosquitoes to carry you away- even though they spray for them!! :) There was a playground. Bathrooms were good, showers so-so.

Full hookup sites are now reserved sites while the rest are first come, first served. The bathroom/shower facilities are adequate but are showing their age and need an update. Access to Interstate 94 is excellent. All sites have a fire ring and a picnic table. The sites are on grass/gravel and are level. The park can accommodate large RVs.

I would like this park very much but for 1 major issue. When you call to inquire, the girl who answers always says there is a lot of space, no problem. She has never seen the park in this fairly small town.
When we got here there were 3 sites available and only 1 suitable for us with 50 amps. I called and told the Park people that there were only 2 spots left so as to not mislead others.
However our TRNP friends who just arrived for an overniter were told lots of space available.
So beware of the information given. The space is on a first come basis and there are a number of people here who are working construction and a few who might be full timers. No camp host and self pay kiosk. As a small park, if you come here and find nothing, there is place to dry-camp on the adjacent lawns, and possibly you could be sent to the fairground which has electric hookup. $22.00 for full hookups.
Buffalo River State park or Lindenwood Park are all closer to Fargo-Moorehead.
